Hawks Finish 4th in Campbellsport Tourney

The Hustlin' Hawk Wrestling Team finished 4th out of 11 teams at Campbellsport Saturday in a tournament dominated by Coleman High School. Coleman, a division III school had eight champions out of 14 weight classes. The Hawks came in behind Marshfield and Campbellsport with 135.5 points.

 

Top finishers were Steve Fisher, Taylor Wirtz, and Patrick Bruyette who all were runners-up at their weights and have 3-1 records for the season. Other place finishers for the Hawks were as follows: Andrew Krueger(3rd), Jake McClanahan (4th), Tyler Flink (4th), Bryan Donovan (5th), Andrew Patrick (5th), Zach Stelse (5th), Simerdeep Grewal (6th), Kevin Vazquez (6th), and Keng Thao (6th).

 

Next up is pre-season conference favorite Pewaukee on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and then the Tom Burns Invite at Marquette High School starting at 10 a.m. Our JV wrestlers will be traveling to West Allis Central on Saturday with a start time of 10 a.m. as well.

 

Please mark your calenders for our first home meet which will be on Wednesday, December 16th at 7 p.m. against Wauwatosa. It will be our alumni meet and we plan to honor former coaches and wrestlers from previous years.
