Scouting Commemoritve Stamp issued July 27th by USPS

July 30, 2010 | 0 comments

The Greenfield Branch Post Office announces the 44-cent Scounting Commemorative stamp is now available for purchase. Stop in today at your local branch Post Office or purchase this stamp on line at USPS.com.

To create the original design, illustrator Craig Frazier, Mill Valley, California, depicted the images of two different scouts in clothing and accesories that are often part of the outdoor scouting experience - hats, packs, boots, & binoculars. At first glance one sees the large silouette of a scout peering through binoculars. Within this figure is another scout perched atop a mountain taking in the vista. "I wanted a level of discovery to be protrayed in the stamp itself," Frazier recalls.

The Scouting stamp is availabe in a pane of 20 stamps. Our helpful retail associates will be glad to assist you with any of your mailing needs.
