Clement Manor Center For Enrichment Holiday Presentation

A Cup Of Christmas Tea

Wednesday, December 16 1:30 — 3:00

Ah, getting ready for the Christmas holiday… a season filled with shopping, cooking, baking, cleaning, wrapping presents… too much to do with too little time. But when the holidays are over … in spite the hustle and bustle… we discover somewhere along the way we created another memory. Like this one…

"I still remember when Mom brought that thing home in a big cardboard box. A permanent tree! When she pulled out that painted silver pole, we laughed so hard we cried. Later that night we all stood in the living room for the ritual of turning on the color wheel for the first time. We stood in amazement watching the tree turn red, yellow — then when blue came around a hushed "oooooooh" from all of us. She was so proud of that thing.”

Do you have a favorite Christmas memory? The CFE is hosting a special Holiday Presentation featuring a reading of Tom Hegg’s A Cup of Christmas Tea, as well as a number of Christmas memories as told by our students. Come enjoy heartwarming stories, snacks and, of course, a cup of Christmas tea.

The Center for Enrichment (CFE), located in the Clement Manor Retirement Community in Greenfield, is a life-long learning membership organization committed to providing quality educational classes to the 50+ population throughout the greater Milwaukee area. Hundreds of adults attend six week courses such as history, literature, science, astronomy, art, music, computes and “wellness” classes like yoga and T’ai Chi throughout the year. Our next term begins January 18, 2010.
