The Greenfield Beautification Committee is sponsoring a unique tour of six city gardens. The Private Gardens of Greenfield Tour is Saturday, July 18th (10am to 4pm). The highlight of the tour are the gardens of Bill Radler. Bill is a renown breeder of the Knock Out (tm) family of roses. Many gardeners are familiar with this line of roses, specially bred for our area. Bill’s huge garden also showcases many other unique trial plants in development.
The remaining five gardens feature unique themes such as a Wooded Retreat, Romantic Cottage Garden and a Fairy Walk Garden. UW Extension Master Gardeners will be present at each garden to answer questions.
Tickets are $8 per person and available via the Committee’s web site (GBCINFO.ORG) or at 414-421-2213. They may also be purchased at the Greenfield City Hall (Parks & Rec. Dept.) Tickets are $10, day of event at the City Hall.
The event helps the Beautification Committee raise funds for community events such as Arbor Day, Landscape Awards and the Holiday Lights Contest.
