Citzen Action Stands with Scott Dettman

Aug. 30, 2010 | 0 comments

Greenfield, WI - Democratic Assembly candidate Scott Dettman announced his endorsement today by Citizen Action of Wisconsin, a grass roots coalition of over 123,000 individual and organizational supporters fighting for social, economic, and environmental justice.

“The support of Citizen Action is especially important to me as it confirms all of the values this campaign is built on,” said Dettman. “We have been running a grassroots campaign, and have been engaging voters at the door talking about issues that matter. I am proud that a people powered campaign approach can still be recognized in a time when special interests spend millions trying to sway voters.”

This is the latest endorsement for Dettman, a local business manager. He has previously been endorsed by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) council 48, Wisconsin Progress, Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC), the AFL-CIO, the Wisconsin Alliance of Retired Americans (WARA), and the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) local 998. This is the fifth endorsement the Dettman campaign has received this week, and with the September 14th Primary a little over two weeks a way both support and momentum is strengthening for Dettman.

As the Representative for the 7th Assembly District, Dettman will focus his efforts on job promotion; ensuring Wisconsin children have great schools, and promoting energy efficiency and a green job sector for our state.

The 7th Assembly district covers the southwest side of Milwaukee and half of the city of Greenfield.
