School records fell for the Hustlin' Hawks in a WIAA Division 1 sectional meet at Kenosha Tremper on Saturday.

Esmeralda Perez set a new mark of 1 minute, 0.76 seconds in the 100 butterfly, claiming third place. Elisa Perez established a new standard of 5:24.06 in the 500 freestyle, taking fourth.

Sienna Bast, Brooke Charles, Elisa Perez and Esmeralda Perez set a record of 1:58.17 in the 200 medley relay, also finishing fourth, and a mark of 1:47.32 in the 200 freestyle relay, capturing seventh.

The final record was set by Bast with 1:05.04 in the 100 backstroke, good for eighth.

Greenfield's other top-eight finish was from Elisa Perez with seventh in the 200 freestyle (2:03.67).

All but Bast will return next year.

The Hawks tallied 128 points for 10th place in the 14-team sectional. They did not qualify anyone for this weekend's state meet.

"It was a spectacular performance," coach Tim Locke said. "The girls worked so hard this season; it was a great feeling to see it all come together at the end of the season. I am looking forward to next season with a solid returning core of swimmers."

Ashley Elder placed third for the Wave in diving with 293.9 points in a WIAA Division 1 sectional meet on Saturday.

Jessica Drews took 15th in the 200 individual medley (2 minutes, 55.02 seconds) and West Allis' three relay teams all finished 12th.

The Wave scored 48 points for 12th place in the meet.

"The majority of the swimmers set personal records at the sectional," coach Carl Kaiser said. "Overall, I was pleased with the progress we made from start to finish this year. Each girl is definitely a faster swimmer, and I'm looking forward to next year."
