WHITNALL BOYS TRACK
Behind three first places, the Falcons finished third with 731/3 points in the Woodland Conference East Division Indoor Meet on April 8.
Winning were Nate Schaefer in the 400-meter dash with 54.14 seconds, Jova Radisavcevic in the shot put at 45 feet-21/2 inches and the 4x400-meter relay team with 3 minutes, 44.12 seconds.
Taking third were JT Reed in the 55 dash (6.89), Nate Dellevar in the pole vault (10-0) and Schaefer in the triple jump (39-11).
WHITNALL GIRLS TRACK
Kim Hurst won the high jump with 4-6 to lead the Falcons in the Woodland East Indoor Meet on April 8.
The 4x800 relay team of Kristy Crivello, Rachel Balcerak, Jenny Bahling and Hurst also won with 10 minutes, 48.25 seconds for the Falcons, who were fifth with 661/2 points.
Taking second were Jasmine Bickerstaff in the 55 hurdles (9.25) and Lani Cieszynski in the pole vault (7-6). Placing third were Hurst in the 800 run (2:47.72) and Jasmine Van Tine in the 3,200 run (12:48.04).
Whitnall also scored 131/2 points for 11th in the rain-shortened West Allis Hale Mondo Invitational on Saturday. Cieszynski tied for second in the pole vault (8-0) and Bickerstaff was third in the 100 hurdles (17.04).
GREENFIELD GIRLS TRACK
Tuyet Nguyen won the 55 hurdles, long jump and triple jump for the Hustlin' Hawks in the April 8 Woodland East Indoor Meet.
Nguyen finished the 55 hurdles in 9.23 seconds and posted 16-1/4 in the long jump and 33-1/4 in the triple jump.
Madison Kohl claimed the 400 dash (1:03.77) for the Hawks, who took fourth with 68 points. Stephanie Van Wieringen was second in the high jump (4-6) and the 4x160 relay team was third (1:33.55).
Greenfield was eighth in the Hale Invitational on Saturday with 17 points. Keely Hanley took third in the 1,600 run (5:47.85).
GREENFIELD BOYS TRACK
Second places were earned by Robbie Hopeful in the long jump (19-7 3/4) and the 4x800 relay (8:47.73) for the Hustlin' Hawks in the Woodland East Indoor on April 8.
Taking third were Stephen Lisiecki in the 400 dash (55.32), Andy Sabinash in the 1,600 (4:44.01), Casey Sabinash in the 3,200 (10:17.12) and the 4x160 relay (1:21.31) for the Hawks, who tallied 46 points for sixth place.
Greenfield scored eight points for 14th place in the Hale Invitational on Saturday. Casey Sabinash took fourth in the 1,600 (4:40.59).
WHITNALL GIRLS SOCCER
The Falcons posted three shutouts and came away with two victories and a tie last week.
They blanked Kenosha Indian Trail 1-0 on Friday when Katie Schauer tallied off a corner kick from Keally Dombrowski in the opening minute.
Whitnall tied Shorewood 0-0 on April 10 as an offside penalty negated a goal in the overtime. Head coach Robert Antholine praised goalkeeper Ann Marie Bay, Schauer, Mary Gaggioli, Tori Barnhart and Dombrowski.
The Falcons routed Cudahy 9-0 on April 8 as Lauren McKowen tallied four goals and Lena Marinkovich three goals.
Bella Matthias allowed just three hits and struck out 13 as the Hustlin' Hawks beat New Berlin West 3-1 on April 10.
Kaylan Biersack drove in two runs with a single in the first inning, while Nicollette Curtis was 2-for-3 and Lexi Vilkoski 2-for-4 with a double.
Matthias then blanked Wauwatosa West 10-0 on Friday with a one-hitter and 10 strikeouts. Biersack went 3-for-3 with two RBIs.
The Hawks fell to South Milwaukee 7-6 in eight innings on April 9. Vilkoski was 3-for-4 and Biersack doubled in two runs. Matthias fanned 13 hitters.
CENTRAL BOYS TRACK
The Bulldogs scored 31 points for second place in the rain-shortened West Allis Hale Invitational on Saturday.
Kion Criswell was second in the 100 dash (11.62) and the 4x200 relay team of Clint Johnson, Brent Walter, Cloud Kilbert and Aaron Leon-Tobar took third (1:37.91).
HALE GIRLS TRACK
Nicole Flagge tied for second in the pole vault (8-0) at the Hale Invitational on Saturday.
Also second was the 4x800 relay unit of Madison Mihaljevic, Jenna Freund, April Koshen and Ellie Probst (10:32.98), and Mihaljevic took fourth in the 1,600 run (5:52.26).
The Huskies tallied 24 points for seventh place.
Hale was 10th with 17 points in the Lady Spartan Invitational at Brookfield East on April 9. Probst captured fourth in the 800 run (2:31.76).
HALE BOYS TRACK
Aaron Cronin won the discus with 137-11 to pace the Huskies to eighth place with 13 points in their own invitational on Saturday.
Hale did not have any other top-five finishes.
The Huskies scored 37 points for seventh place in the Spartan Invitational at Brookfield East on April 8.
The 4x400 relay of Jeff Schubert, Joey Werner, Alex Sykes and Edwin Morales won in 3:31.96 and Cronin took second in the discus with 135-6.
CENTRAL GIRLS TRACK
Ella Schultz finished fourth in the shot put (34-2) for the Bulldogs in the Hale Invitational on Saturday.
Taking sixth for Central were Dana Batchelor in the high jump (4-6) and Megan Turner in the shot put (31-2).
The Bulldogs placed 10th with 141/2 points.
WHITNALL BOYS SOCCER
The Falcons topped St. Francis 7-0 on April 8 and Brown Deer 5-2 on April 10.
Whitnall is a veteran team, with nine seniors and one junior on the roster.
Noah Stemper and Matt Pook will play first and second singles, while Chris Kelnhofer will be at three and Cam Clark at four singles. All won their first two matches of the season.
The first doubles team is Josh Damro and Mike Langenohl, the second unit is Todd Marino and Bryan Weidenfeller and the third Joe Price and Kevin Hodkiewicz.
HALE BOYS GOLF
The Huskies have no seniors this season and will be led by six juniors.
They opened by taking third place with 199 strokes in the New Berlin West Quad on April 9. Derrick Oleson and Andrew Riedel shot 48, Tyler Adams 50, Devin Unger 53, Dane Ulik 55 and Eric Petoskey 62.
The Huskies took third with 186 shots in another quad on April 10. Unger fired a 44, Riedel 46, Oleson 47, Adams 49 and Ulik 49.
GREENFIELD GIRLS SOCCER
The Hustlin' Hawks topped Brown Deer 6-0 on April 10 behind goals from Dana Schwab, Shareen Othman, Courtney Corrao and Esmeralda Sanchez.
They also lost a 3-1 decision to Greendale on April 8.
CENTRAL GIRLS SOCCER
The Bulldogs fell to Heritage Christian 1-0 in double overtime on Friday night.
Central lost three starting defenders and goalkeeper Karina Chavez to injuries in regulation but kept playing hard, head coach Shondell Hernandez said.
The Bulldogs fell to Brookfield East 10-0 on April 8. Chavez made some nice saves, the coach said.
HALE GIRLS SOCCER
The Huskies dropped a competitive 6-4 decision to Franklin on April 10.
They found the going tougher on April 8 with a 10-0 loss to powerful Divine Savior Holy Angels.
