Miletti named most valuablefor Central cross country team
Tyler Miletti was named the most valuable runner for the West Allis Central boys cross country team in the fall season.
Josh Ostrenga was the rookie of the year, while James Thompson and Demonte Smith received most inspirational honors and Anthony Rueda, Kyle Bigus and Wesley Anderson took the senior awards.
Team captains for 2012 are Miletti, Damien McFadden and Freddy Birchbauer.
Wisconsin Gators holdhoops tryouts on Thursdays
The Wisconsin Gators Club team is holding youth basketball tryouts for those in fifth through seventh grades on Thursdays at 6:30 to 8 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 2229 W. Greenfield Ave., Milwaukee.
