West Allis Hale boys volleyball

Despite Taylor Chladek's 24 assists and six digs, the third-seeded Huskies were unable to upset second-seed and host Pius XI on Nov. 3.

Pius' Mike Hagerty had match-highs in assists with 30, digs with eight and aces with five to lead his team to a 25-21, 25-23, 25-21 victory in a sectional semifinal.

Hale's Dylan Hardwick led all players with 12 kills and Ray Saroczek had a match-high nine blocks against the Popes, who lost to two-time defending state champion Marquette two days later in a sectional final at Waukesha North.

Greenfield boys volleyball

Racine Case's Zak Thompson had 25 kills and Jeff Collins registered 45 assists as the host Eagles defeated Greenfield, 25-20, 25-19, 24-26, 25-23, in a sectional semifinal Nov. 3.

Case lost in the sectional final to Racine Horlick two days later at Greenfield.
