Sam Homa pitched a five-hitter and Cudahy rallied for four runs in the top of the sixth inning to beat Greenfield, 5-1, in a Woodland Conference softball showdown in Greenfield on May 7.
The Packers, with one loss in Woodland play, took a one-game lead over the Hustlin' Hawks, who fell to 7-2. Greendale is third with three losses in the conference.
The Hawks scored in the bottom of the first on singles from Shannon Butts and Stacey Butts but could not manage anything after that.
Shannon Butts held Cudahy scoreless until the fifth, when the Packers pushed across a run on a wild pitch.
In the sixth, Alisa Damitz drove in a run with a single, then Cudahy added three runs on a wild pitch, error and groundout to go up 5-1.
