Greenfield's Vanek
earns all-state college spot
Michael Vanek of Greenfield earned second-team honors on the 2011 All-Wisconsin collegiate squad in soccer.
Vanek, a senior on the Milwaukee School of Engineering team, was also a first-team all-Northern Athletics Conference selection after scoring six goals. That was his second time on the all-NAC first team, as he also earned that honor in 2009.
MSOE reached the NAC championship contest before falling to Dominican, 4-0. The Raiders finished 12-8-1 overall and 8-3 in the conference.
