BURGLARY

An employee reported a door to the service department was pried open and a safe stolen at Gordie Boucher Nissan, 4141 S. 108th St. at 7:10 a.m. Oct. 24. Ten dealer plates were also stolen during the burglary.

THEFT

Five DVD box sets were stolen from Target, 4777 S. 27th St., at 2 p.m. Oct. 22. All five sets were sold to Mega Media Exchange at 2:30 p.m. the same day.

A 48-year-old man was arrested for stealing an employee's purse at Lakeshore Medical, 4448 W. Loomis Road, shortly before 10:15 a.m. Oct. 24. A second suspect in the theft fled the scene; police are following up.

An employee reported six or seven catalytic converters were stolen off trucks parked in the lot at Braeger Ford, 4201 S. 27th St., prior to 1:20 p.m. Oct. 25.

A cell phone was stolen from student's backpack at Edgewood School, 4700 S. 47th St., prior to 4 p.m. Oct. 25.

A 25-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen opening packages and concealing items at Target, 4777 S. 27th St., at 12:55 p.m. Oct. 26.

A counterfeit $20 bill was passed by a female customer at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 9:15 p.m. Oct. 26.

A 20-year-old woman reported $200 was stolen from her purse while she was working at Carrabbas, 4765 S. 76th St., during the evening hours of Oct. 26.

The driver of a Honda van left without paying for $36 of gas at Phil's Gas & Grocery, 6745 W. Forest Home Ave., prior to 3:40 p.m. Oct. 27.

An unknown man ran up a tab of $265 and left without paying at Mad Dog Saloon, 4395 S. 76th St., prior to 6 p.m. Oct. 27.

Several subjects left without paying for a $22 bar tab at The Tower, 6869 W. Forest Home Ave., prior to 10 p.m. Oct. 27.

A catalytic converter was cut from a vehicle on the lot at Frontier Auto, 5141 S. 27th St., prior to 1 p.m. Oct. 28.

A 51-year-old woman and a 24-year-old woman were arrested for shoplifting at Halloween Express, 4251 S. 27th St., at 1:20 p.m. Oct. 28.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting a $22 seat cover at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 3:35 p.m. Oct. 28.

A 30-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting boxer shorts and T-shirts, valued at $20, at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 4:20 p.m. Oct. 28.

The driver of a blue Ford pickup truck left without paying for $50 of as at Andy's, 4710 S. 108th St., shortly before 6:30 p.m. Oct. 28.

A manager at Bartz's, 4150 S. 108th St., reported two males stole two or three costumes and fled the store shortly before 1:35 p.m. Oct. 29.

Approximately $24 in change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3600 block of South 53rd Street between 6:30 p.m. Oct. 28 and 8:25 p.m. Oct. 29.

The front and rear license plates were stolen from a vehicle in the 3300 block of South 100th Street prior to 1 p.m. Oct. 30.

A license plate was stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of South 65th Street between Oct. 16 and Oct. 30.

The driver of a green minivan left without paying for $59 of gas at Andy's, 4710 S. 108th St., shortly before 4:30 p.m. Oct. 30. The suspect van has been involved in numerous gas thefts in the area. Police are following up.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 22-year-old man was arrested for huffing from an aerosol can in the parking lot at Target, 4777 S. 27th St., at 10:15 a.m. Oct. 24.

A 54-year-old woman was arrested for possession of narcotics and disorderly conduct after she caused a disturbance at a residence in the 4100 block of South 121st Street at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 28.

A 42-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and operating a vehicle after revocation during a traffic stop at West Forest Home Avenue and South 68th Street at 10:50 p.m. Oct. 28.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 23-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after police found him passed out in the front seat of his car at the intersection of South 27th Street and West Layton Avenue at 2:45 a.m. Oct. 26. He refused field sobriety testing and a blood draw.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, during a traffic stop in the 4200 block of South 76th Street at 4:30 a.m. Oct. 26. She was taken for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

A 21-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 7000 block of eastbound Interstate 43 at 11:35 p.m. Oct. 27. His blood alcohol content was 0.11.

A 44-year-old woman was arrested for drugged driving in the 5900 block of South 27th Street at 5:05 a.m. Oct. 28. She was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unknown.

A 24-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 4600 block of West Forest Home Avenue at 2:55 a.m. Oct. 29. His BAC was unavailable.

ACCIDENTS

A caller reported a loud noise and smoke at the Mosque, 5075 S. 43rd St., at 4:10 a.m. Oct. 30. When police and fire department officials arrived they found a van had struck a pole near the onramp for eastbound Interstate 894 at 60th Street, and electrical wires were exposed.

VANDALISM

A window was damaged, possibly by a BB gun, at the 24-Hour Animal Hospital, 3670 S. 108th St., at 4:20 p.m. Oct. 27.

Graffiti was reported on an outdoor sign at Hair Central, 7434 W. Forest Home Ave., at 8 a.m. Oct. 28.

A large flower pot was smashed on a driveway in the 4300 block of South 46th Street prior to 9 a.m. Oct. 29.

A window of a car was damaged in an apparent road rage incident on South 108th Street and West Layton Avenue during the evening hours of Oct. 28.

OTHER

A 57-year-old man received a public nuisance citation for leaving his dog in the yard, untethered and barking, in the 4600 block of West Wilbur Avenue at 7:15 p.m. Oct. 24.

A manager at Blockbuster, 4285 S. 76th St., reported receiving multiple phone calls from an unknown subject(s) prior to 11 p.m. Oct. 26, threatening bodily harm if he refused to sell him (the caller) video games prior to their release. An area watch was requested.

Police discovered a 25-year-old sex offender residing in the 3800 block of South Miner Street in violation of restrictions on Oct. 27. The man was moved out of the city.

Two vehicles were entered in the 3400 block of South 50th Place between the evening of Oct. 26 and early morning hours of Oct. 27. Nothing was taken; an area watch was requested.

Two 38-year-old men were arrested for disorderly conduct after a physical altercation at the Credit Union Service Center, 6126 W. Layton Ave., at 5:25 p.m. Oct. 27.

Multiple vehicles were entered and rummaged through in the 3600 block of South 53rd Street between the late evening hours of Oct. 28 and early morning hours of Oct. 29. Nothing was reported stolen. A special watch was requested in the area.

A 32-year-old man reported finding marijuana plants at Kulwicki Park, 10701 W. Coldspring Road, at 5:15 p.m. Oct. 29. A police inspection discovered the man found weeds, not weed.

Greenfield police responded to three domestic violence calls and assisted with one rescue call between Oct. 24 and Oct. 30.
