An apartment was entered in the 4200 block of South Ravinia Drive between 5:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Oct. 29. Coins were taken out of a jar kept in a closet, dresser drawers were opened and a mattress was shifted on a bed, but there were no signs of forced entry. Police are investigating.
Copper piping and wiring was taken from the basement of a residence in the 3300 block of West Loomis Road between 1 p.m. Oct. 28 and 5 p.m. Oct. 31. A basement window was opened for access.
A burglary was reported at the Greenfield Historical Society, 5601 W. Layton Ave., at 10:15 a.m. Nov. 1. A door was kicked in for entry. The police log did not state what was taken during the burglary, and the police report was unavailable.
Prescriptions were taken from a vehicle parked on 60th Street and Layton Avenue on Oct. 27.
A woman's smartphone was taken while she was on a party bus at Scott E's Pub, 3800 S. 108th St., on Oct. 27.
The rear license plate was taken off a vehicle in the 7300 block of West Southridge Drive between 6 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Oct. 29.
DVDs were taken from a home in the 3600 block of South Rivershire Drive reported prior to 5:15 p.m. Oct. 30. Police are following up with a possible suspect.
A wallet was taken from a locker at Southwest YMCA, 11311 W. Howard Ave., prior to 5:50 p.m. Oct. 30.
A purse was taken from a locked vehicle at Southwest YMCA prior to 7:25 p.m. Oct. 30. A window was smashed for entry.
A 31-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were arrested for possession of stolen property after they were reportedly involved in the theft of a gray Honda Civic at Walmart, 10600 W. Layton Ave., at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 31. The two men, who were following the stolen vehicle during a police pursuit, were taken into custody by the West Allis Police Department and turned over to Greenfield police for booking. The driver of the stolen vehicle eluded police and was not located.
A camera and prepaid cellphone were taken from a vehicle parked at Southwest YMCA prior to 12:45 p.m. Oct. 21.
A GPS unit was taken from a vehicle in the 5000 block of South Greenbrook Terrace between Oct. 28 and Oct. 31.
A woman shoplifted an unknown amount of merchandise at Dots, 4260 S. 76th St., prior to 12:13 p.m. Nov. 1. The suspect was last seen driving toward South 76th Street.
Two trailers were taken from Cycle Empire, 4001 W. Loomis Road, prior to 6 p.m. Nov. 1.
A marine battery was taken from a camper in the 5700 block of West Edgerton Avenue prior to 2:50 p.m. Nov. 2.
A school book bag containing a tablet computer and keys was taken from a vehicle on Morgan Avenue and Root River Parkway at the Oak Leaf Trail prior to 6:15 p.m. Nov. 2.
A President Obama campaign sign was taken from a residence in the 3000 block of West Bottsford Avenue at 11:40 p.m. Nov. 2. Eggs were also thrown at the residence.
Items were taken from a vehicle in the 3500 block of South 46th Street between late evening Nov. 2 and early morning Nov. 3.
Batteries were taken from two campers parked at homes in the 2900 block of West Edgerton Avenue between Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
A man's wallet was taken from a locker at Southwest YMCA prior to 8:15 p.m. Nov. 3.
An undisclosed amount of money and a bag filled with Advil and other personal items were taken from a vehicle in the 9500 block of West Carpenter Avenue between late evening Nov. 3 and 9 a.m. Nov. 4.
A 32-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting merchandise from Best Buy, 4610 S. 76th St., shortly before 5 p.m. Nov. 4. He was also cited for obstruction after he gave police a false name during his arrest.
A 21-year-old woman was arrested for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after an officer pulled her over for swerving in traffic on West Loomis Road and West Layton Avenue at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 29. A 26-year-old male passenger in her car was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule IV drug.
A 28-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in the 4700 block of South 27th Street at 9:45 p.m. Nov. 2.
A 31-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving on Grange Avenue and Tuckaway Lane shortly after 1 a.m. Nov. 1. Her blood alcohol content was 0.11.
A 32-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 7200 block of West Forest Home Avenue at 1:50 a.m. Nov. 1. The woman was also served a protection order at the time of her arrest. Her BAC was 0.14.
A 21-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving on 60th Street and Layton Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Nov. 4. Her BAC was unavailable.
A 62-year-old Greenfield woman transported to the hospital with minor injuries after the car she was riding in struck the Greenfield Post Office, 7353 W. Forest Home Ave., shortly after 11:30 a.m. Oct. 29. The driver of the car, a 72-year-old Greenfield woman, told police she mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake, struck the guardrail in front of the building and also struck the side of the building, causing damage to the building's exterior. She was cited for inattentive driving.
A 75-year-old Waukesha man was transported to the hospital for injuries he sustained when his car collided with another vehicle while he was making a left turn off the Interstate 43 ramp to go north on South 108th Street at 1:36 p.m. Oct. 30. The impact caused his car to roll over onto its passenger side. He was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
A resident reported the windshield on his car was cracked while it was parked in the 9000 block of West Waterford Square North between the evening of Oct. 27 and morning of Oct. 28.
A window was damaged on a condo in the 4900 block of West Colonial Court prior to 11 a.m. Oct. 30.
Political signs were pulled up, eggs were thrown and a banana was stuffed in a mailbox at a residence in the 3900 block of West Barnard Avenue between late evening Nov. 2 and 7 a.m. Nov. 3. The same incident occurred two weeks earlier, and a special patrol watch was requested during evening hours.
A political sign was torn up and tossed around a yard in the 8800 block of West Dosie Avenue between the evening of Nov. 2 and 10 a.m. Nov. 3.
Tires were slashed on a vehicle parked in the 4800 block of South 95th Street prior to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 3.
A customer's car was vandalized while parked at Carrabbas, 4765 S. 76th St., prior to 9:05 p.m. Nov. 3. Police are seeking the victim's ex-boyfriend for questioning.
BBs were fired at the siding of a garage in the 3300 block of South 46th Street between 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Nov. 4.
Police pulled over a vehicle on 35th Street and Loomis Road after a motorist reported the driver was swerving in and out of lanes on West Loomis Road and South 51st Street before 9 a.m. Oct. 29. When the officer advised the driver of the complaint she stated she accidentally swerved because she was trying to finish a rosary. The officer advised the woman she should pull over if she feels she needs to finish the rosary.
A 16-year-old girl was arrested for disorderly conduct for swearing and causing a disturbance in a classroom at Whitnall High School, 5000 S. 116th St., shortly after 10 a.m. Oct. 30.
A 25-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he threatened a student at Regency Beauty Institute, 7995 West Layton Ave., at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 31.
An unidentified man attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for food at Noodles & Co., 4859 S. 76th St., shortly before 7 p.m. Oct. 31. The suspect took the bill after the manager wouldn't accept it and left the business. Police were unable to locate the suspect.
A 50-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after she got drunk and started screaming and fighting with a man in a parking lot in the 7000 block of West Southridge Drive at 8:25 p.m. Nov. 4.
Police responded to a 911 caller who reported hearing a customer threaten employees at McDonald's, 4550 S. 108th St., at 9 p.m. Nov. 4. The man was upset about his burger order. He told workers he had a revolver in his car. The caller also reported the man did go out to his vehicle and come back into the business. Officers checked the area but could not locate the suspect.
Greenfield police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with four rescue calls between Oct. 29 and Nov. 4.
