Editor's note: Police reports for June 25 to July 1 were unavailable for the newspaper's early deadline schedule due to the July 4 holiday. Those reports are included below along with the July 2-8 reports.

BURGLARY

A mountain bike was taken from a residence in the 6400 block of West Plainfield Avenue on June 12.

A 29-year-old man was arrested for burglary at a residence in the 5400 block of South Tuckaway Lane at 9:45 p.m. June 27. The suspect was chased and caught by the resident, an off-duty police officer, and all property was recovered. The suspect was also taken into custody on a felony warrant for burglary with the Wauwatosa Police Department.

A caller reported his residence was entered and burglarized in the 7800 block of West Whitaker Avenue between 2:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. June 30. A list of items taken wasn't immediately available.

A golf cart, copper wires and a reciprocating saw were taken from a garage in the 3500 block of South Rivershire Drive between midnight and 9 a.m. July 1. The golf cart was later located in the 11200 block of West Morgan Avenue.

A blue Trek 1000 bicycle was taken from a closed garage in the 3600 block of South Rivershire Drive prior to 12:40 p.m. July 3.

A TV was taken from a garage in the 3600 block of South Rivershire Drive prior to 2:25 p.m. July 5.

THEFT

A trash can was taken from a residence in the 9200 block of West Layton Avenue between 5:30 pm. and 10:15 p.m. June 24.

CDs and change were taken from a customer's vehicle outside the body shop at John Paul's Automotive, 3615 S. 108th St., prior to 7:40 a.m. June 25.

A dark green 2000 Dodge Caravan was taken from the 9100 block of West Waterford Square prior to 10:15 a.m. June 25.

Two unidentified females shoplifted clothing at TJ Maxx, 4200 S. 76th St., at noon June 25. The suspects fled in a silver Hyundai Accent.

A cellphone was taken from an employee at Club Paragon, 3578 S. 108th St., prior to 1:25 p.m. June 25.

A money machine was taken from the wall of laundry room in the 8900 block of West Howard Avenue prior to 3:30 p.m. June 26.

Two large hanging flower baskets were taken and a car was egged at a residence in the 4500 block of West Anthony Drive between midnight and 5:45 a.m. June 27.

An unidentified male shoplifted a pair of socks at Dollar Tree, 6261 S. 27th St., shortly before 9:40 a.m. June 27.

A resident in the 4800 block of West Cold Spring Road reported lights and decorative lawn ornaments have been damaged or taken from her yard at 2:10 p.m. June 27. The victim told police this has been happening after 9 p.m. in the evening over the past few months.

A purse was taken from a vehicle parked at the Southwest YMCA, 11311 W. Howard Avenue, prior to 7:15 p.m. June 27.

Four hubcaps were taken off a car at the Hales Corners park-and-ride lot, 4800 S. 108th St., on June 27.

A woman's wallet was taken from a vehicle in the 4200 block of South Ravinia Drive prior to 9:40 a.m. June 28.

A 26-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen removing video games from their security cases and concealing them at Best Buy, 4610 S. 76th St., at 7:15 p.m. June 28.

A wallet containing identification and cash, a schoolbook bag and a dashboard clock was taken from a vehicle in the 4400 block of South 108th Street prior to 9:10 p.m. June 28.

A 21-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting children's shoes and curtains at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 1:35 p.m. June 29.

An unidentified male suspect shoplifted hair care products at Sally Beauty Supply, 4260 S. 76th St., shortly after 10 a.m. June 30. The suspect, a black male wearing a green shirt with yellow writing, fled in a blue BMW four-door car with red material covering the license plate and was last seen driving westbound on Cold Spring Road.

A caller reported tools and equipment were taken from her garage in the 5300 block of South 43rd Street between 2:20 p.m. and 2:50 p.m. June 30.

A laptop computer bag was taken from a car in the 4400 block of South 108th Street prior to 3:45 p.m. June 30.

A stainless steel table, two grills and a spare tire were taken from Carl's Catering, 5110 W. Loomis Road, prior to 4:10 p.m. June 30.

A suitcase, clothing, backpack, cellphone charger and books were taken from a vehicle in the 4400 block of South 108th Street prior to 4:15 p.m. June 30.

A car was taken from the 2800 block of West Bridge Street at 7:10 p.m. June 30. Police have a suspect and have issued a warrant for her arrest.

An 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were arrested for shoplifting at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 8:45 p.m. June 30.

An unidentified male shoplifted three video game controllers at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 1:15 p.m. July 1. The suspect left through the Garden Shop doors and was not located.

An employee reported an unknown suspect shoplifted a TV at Target, 4777 S. 27th St., at 5:10 p.m. July 1.

A black 2008 Suzuki 650S 8239P was taken from the 3100 block of West American Drive between 10 p.m. July 1 and 8 a.m. July 2.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting shoes at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 5:10 p.m. July 2. She was also taken into custody for having three outstanding warrants through the Waukesha Sheriff's Department and one outstanding warrant through the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.

A car was taken from the parking lot at the Southwest YMCA, 11311 W. Howard Ave., prior to 8:10 p.m. July 2. The victim's locker had been broken into and his car keys were taken.

A wedding ring was taken from a table at Noodles, 4859 S. 76th St., about 8:25 p.m. July 2.

An 18-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting makeup at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 10 p.m. July 2.

An unidentified female shoplifted shoes from Rogan's, 4350 S. 76th St., at 5:05 p.m. July 5. The suspect, a black female in her 30s, fled the scene in a maroon Chevy Impala occupied by three children, and was last seen heading onto South 76th Street.

A 19-year-old woman and an 18-year-old woman were arrested for shoplifting at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., shortly after 9 p.m. July 5.

A child's motorized bike was taken in the 3900 block of South Sunset Square prior to 9 p.m. July 5.

A black Dodge Intrepid was taken in the 3300 block of South 46th Street between 10 p.m. July 5 and 3 a.m. July 6.

The operator of an ice cream truck reported money was taken from his truck after he ran into a residence 8900 block of West Howard Avenue to use the restroom shortly before 11:45 a.m. July 6.

A cell phone, keys and clothing were taken from a locked locker at the Southwest YMCA, 11311 W. Howard Ave., between 4:15 p.m. and 5:35 p.m. July 8.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 23-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 4100 block of South 76th Street at 5:25 a.m. June 27.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 4600 block of South 108th Street shortly after 10 p.m. June 27.

A 19-year-old man, an 18-year-old man and two male juveniles were arrested for possession of marijuana, resisting arrest and negligent handling of burning materials after they started a picnic table on fire in the 6500 block of West Layton Avenue at 8:30 p.m. June 29.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for drugged driving and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 5500 block of South 27th Street at 1:25 a.m. July 1.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon during a traffic stop on South 76th Street and West Forest Home Avenue at 2:50 a.m. July 1.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 4600 block of South 27th Street at 11:55 a.m. July 1.

A 30-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 7:20 p.m. July 1.

A 24-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., shortly after 8 p.m. July 1.

A 24-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 4600 block of South 45th Street at 11:10 p.m. July 1.

A 19-year-old woman was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, hindering and resisting arrest during a traffic stop on South 60th Street and West Forest Home Avenue at 7 p.m. July 4. The 19-year-old driver was also arrested for hindering and resisting arrest.

A 21-year-old woman was arrested for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in the 6100 block of West Cold Spring Road at 7:05 p.m. July 4.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 27-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 5500 block of South 27th Street at 3:25 a.m. June 28. The suspect refused blood alcohol content testing.

A 33-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 4600 block of South 108th Street at 12:25 a.m. June 29. The suspect refused BAC testing.

A 51-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, in the 4600 block of South 27th Street at 2:50 a.m. June 30. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

A 32-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving and possession of marijuana in the 3900 block of South Sunset Square at 3:30 a.m. June 30. His preliminary BAC was unavailable.

A 41-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after a motorist reported an erratic driver on West Loomis Road and West Layton Avenue at 12:55 a.m. July 1. His preliminary BAC was unavailable.

An 18-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 10700 block of West Layton Avenue at 2:25 a.m. July 1. Her preliminary BAC was unavailable.

A 39-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after he struck a parked car at Mad Dog Saloon, 4395 S. 76th St., at 7:20 p.m. July 1. His preliminary BAC was unavailable.

A 37-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on South 27th Street and West Layton Avenue at 1:15 a.m. July 2. His preliminary BAC was 0.08.

A 71-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after employees at Meyer's Restaurant reported a very intoxicated man stumbling into his car and driving westbound on West Cold Spring Road and South 76th Street at 8:05 p.m. July 3. Police located the driver on Waterford Avenue, where he was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for breathing problems. The results of his blood test were unavailable.

A 57-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after he was pulled over for driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes of West Loomis Road near West Layton Avenue at 12:20 a.m. July 5. His preliminary BAC was 0.18.

A 56-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on South 76th Street and West Forest Home Avenue at 2:20 a.m. July 7. His preliminary BAC was 0.20.

A 33-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after a caller reported she was following an erratic driver in the 4600 block of South 60th Street at 7:35 p.m. July 7. His preliminary BAC was unavailable.

A 28-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, on South 35th Street and West Edgerton Avenue at 12:15 a.m. July 8. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving on South 44th Street and West Ohio Avenue at 3:45 a.m. July 8. Her preliminary BAC was unavailable.

A 44-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on South 27th Street and West College Avenue at 9:35 p.m. July 8. His preliminary BAC was unavailable.

ACCIDENTS

A 42-year-old Milwaukee man was transported to Froedtert Hospital with unknown injuries when his motorcycle struck a car that pulled out in front of him in the 2800 block of West Layton Avenue at 5:48 p.m. June 30. The driver of the vehicle, an 86-year-old Milwaukee woman, was cited for inattentive driving.

VANDALISM

A brake sensor line was cut on a car parked in the 8100 block of West Forest Garden Court between June 4 and June 11.

A front door was smashed and damaged in the 3500 block of South 34th Street prior to 12:30 p.m. June 30.

Patio furniture was slashed and damaged at a residence in the 5900 block of West Cold Spring Road between 11:30 p.m. July 2 and 10 a.m. July 3.

The windshield of a parked car was smashed in the 9400 block of West Cold Spring Road between midnight and 3:30 a.m. July 4.

The window of a parked rental car was smashed at Famous Dave's, 5077 S. 27th St., prior to 6:30 p.m. July 4.

The side mirror was damaged on a parked vehicle in the 8300 block of West Howard Avenue between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. July 5. Police are following up with a possible suspect.

Two male juveniles were arrested for vandalism after they were seen spray-painting property in the 2800 block of West Layton Avenue at 10:45 p.m. July 6. The suspects fled the area and police located them in the Kmart parking lot.

OTHER

A 33-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct for screaming and yelling at a residence in the 3600 block of South 46th Street at 8:35 p.m. June 26.

A caller reported two chickens were killed on the newly paved roadway in the 4000 block of South 65th Street shortly before 9 p.m. June 28. The caller told police he felt the chickens' death was cult-related. The Department of Public Works was notified for pick-up.

A 36-year-old man was arrested for prowling after he was seen attempting to open car doors in the parking lot at Applebee's, 5100 S. 76th St., at 12:40 p.m. June 30.

A 53-year-old man was arrested for prowling after he was seen walking around the parking lot and asking people for money at Target, 4777 S. 27th St., at 11:45 a.m. July 2.

A 43-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he threw a lit cigarette at a patron and then refused to leave Scott E's Pub, 3800 S. 108th St., at 11:30 p.m. July 6.

Two 18-year-old girls were arrested for disorderly conduct after they caused a disturbance on a transit bus in the Hales Corners park-and-ride lot, 4800 S. 108th St., at 11:45 p.m. July 6.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for underage drinking after he was found sleeping on the grass outside the main entrance to Clement Manor, 3939 S. 92nd St., at 4:55 a.m. July 7.

An 84-year-old man was cited for dog at large after his Husky-type dog attacked a leashed dog being walked by its owner in the 7800 block of West Plainfield Avenue shortly before 8:40 p.m. July 7.

A 31-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon and theft, and a 23-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after they got into a physical altercation at George Webb, 4845 W. Forest Home Ave., shortly after 3 a.m. July 8.

A 22-year-old man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon (a knife) during a traffic stop on South 35th Street and West Barnard Avenue at 4:20 p.m. July 8.

FIRE

Firefighters and police responded to a report of smoke in a hallway at apartment building in the 6100 block of West Stonehedge Drive at 9:35 p.m. June 27. The smoke was caused by a resident who burned food on a stove. The building was cleared of smoke and no damage was reported.

A gas line was ruptured by a construction crew working on South 108th Street and West Layton Avenue at 9:50 a.m. July 3. We Energies was called to the site and repaired the leak.

Greenfield police responded to seven domestic violence calls and assisted with six rescue calls and eight fire calls between June 25 and July 8.
