ROBBERY

An employee was robbed by an armed man at Ken's Shell, 5909 S. 27th St., at 5:55 a.m. Dec. 29. The suspect, described as a black male with a thin build, shaved head and dressed in black, was last seen running westbound on Ramsey Avenue. Police are investigating.

A 62-year-old man was arrested for armed robbery after he robbed the Credit Union Service Center, 6126 W. Layton Ave., shortly after 10 a.m. Dec. 29, and fled in a black two-door vehicle. Police located the vehicle in the Southridge Mall parking lot, where they took the suspect into custody.

BURGLARY

A resident reported guns had been taken from his residence in the 3600 block of South 103rd Street at 2:46 p.m. Dec. 29.

A 12-inch Dewalt miter saw and Dremel tool were taken from a locked garage in the 10400 block of West Beloit Road between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Dec. 31. A porch door screen was torn off and and a door leading to the garage was unlocked for entry. The residents were home at the time of the burglary.

THEFT

Prescription pain medication was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 3300 block of South 100th Street prior to 1:32 p.m. Dec. 23.

A 33-year-old woman was arrested for taking $5,000 from her employer, Western Union, 4375 S. 76th St., at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 23.

An unidentified female shoplifted Christmas ornaments, valued at $20, from Steins Garden & Gifts, 3725 S. 108th St., at noon Dec. 24. Store security recorded the license plate number of the suspect's vehicle. Police are following up.

Tools were taken from a van in the 3700 block of South 35th Street between 10 p.m. Dec. 25 and 9 a.m. Dec. 26.

A radio was taken from a locked van in the 5500 block of South 27th Street prior to 9 a.m. Dec. 27. A window was smashed for access.

A 34-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting a digital camera at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 2:56 p.m. Dec. 27.

A registration sticker was cut out and removed from a license plate in the 4200 block of South 60th Street between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 27 and 5 p.m. Dec. 28.

A resident in the 4500 block of South 69th Street reported the theft of jewelry at 7:55 a.m. Dec. 28.

A purse was taken from a vehicle parked at Budget Cinema, 4475 S. 108th St., prior to 4:35 p.m. Dec. 28.

A cell phone, video game system and other items were taken from an apartment in the 7000 block of West Forest Home Avenue prior to 6:45 a.m. Dec. 29. Police have a suspect and are following up.

A safe containing $260, a Social Security card and miscellaneous paperwork was taken in the 4600 block of South 50th Street prior to 8:50 p.m. Dec. 29.

An assistant manager at Walmart, 4500 S. 108th St., reported two Samsung camcorders, valued at $600 each, were taken by two unidentified men at 9:15 p.m. Dec. 29. The two suspects fled the store in an older, teal minivan. Police have a license plate number and are investigating.

A window was smashed and cash was taken from a glove compartment of a vehicle in the 3900 block of West Loomis Road between 11 p.m. Dec. 29 and 3 a.m. Dec. 30.

Five tire rims were taken from outside a home in the 4400 block of West Loomis Road by the occupants of a white, four-door car at 5:25 p.m. Dec. 30.

A resident in the 3200 block of West Lynndale Avenue reported her credit card was used fraudulently by her pizza delivery guy to purchase $400 in Milwaukee Bucks tickets at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 30. Police are following up.

A GPS unit and a digital media player were taken from two unlocked vehicles in the 4300 block of South 34th Street between 11 p.m. Dec. 30 and 8 a.m. Dec. 31.

An employee reported two televisions were taken from the showroom floor at Steinhafels, 8400 W. Layton Ave., at 10:23 a.m. Dec. 31. The first television was taken on Dec. 23, and the second on Dec. 29. Police are obtaining surveillance footage.

ASSAULT

A 52-year-old man was issued a citation for battery after he assaulted a 30-year-old woman in the 3300 block of South 100th Street at 6 p.m. Dec. 26.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 34-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana on South 43rd Street and West Howard Avenue at 12:44 a.m. Dec. 26.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 4500 block of South 76th Street at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 27.

A 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were arrested for possession of heroin, marijuana and narcotics in the 10100 block of West Cold Spring Road at 3:56 p.m. Dec. 31.

A 25-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and a 22-year-old woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 7900 block of West Layton Avenue at 6 p.m. Dec. 31.

A 26-year-old man was arrested for possession of narcotics in the 900 block of North 9th Street at 6:55 p.m. Dec. 31.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and operating after suspension during a traffic stop in the 4600 block of South 27th Street at 2:09 a.m. Jan. 1.

A 56-year-old man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a crack pipe in his possession during his arrest for refund fraud/shoplifting at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 4:45 p.m. Jan. 1.

A 47-year-old man and a 52-year-old man were cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 3500 block of South 34th Street at 6:55 p.m. Jan. 1.

A 27-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 4100 block of South 43rd Street at 9:38 p.m. Jan. 1.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 44-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving, fifth offense, in the 4200 block of South 76th Street at 10:15 p.m. Dec. 24. She was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

A 44-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, in the 3900 block of South Prairie Hill Lane at 12:51 a.m. Dec. 27. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

A 39-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on West Layton Avenue and South Supreme Court at 1:30 a.m. Dec. 28. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

A 26-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 6100 block of South 27th Street at 2 a.m. Dec. 31. Her blood-alcohol content was unavailable.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 4900 block of West Forest Home Avenue at 3:10 a.m. Jan. 1. She was also cited for obstructing and disorderly conduct, and was found to have open warrants in Milwaukee and Waukesha.

A 23-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident somewhere between the 1st and Lapham street in Milwaukee and the 4600 block of South 27th Street at 10:56 p.m. Jan. 2.

VANDALISM

A window was smashed on a vehicle parked in the 4400 block of South 108th Street prior to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 28.

Windows were smashed on five vehicles parked in a fenced-in area at the Loomis Park and Ride, 3997 W. Loomis Road, prior to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 30. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicles at the time of the report.

OTHER

A 61-year-old man was found deceased in his car in the parking lot at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 4 p.m. 25.

Greenfield and West Allis police were called out after an office motion detector/burglar alarm sounded at Dave's Garage, 5454 W. Forest Home Ave., at 1:42 p.m. Dec. 25. Upon arrival officers discovered a bird had gotten into the building and set off the motion detector. The bird was set free.

A 50-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after a road rage incident on South 92nd Street and West Layton Avenue at 3:45 p.m. Dec. 28. The victim told police the suspect got out of his car when the two were stopped at a red light and struck the victim in the face.

Greenfield police responded to five domestic violence calls and assisted with four rescue calls between Dec. 23 and Jan. 2.
