BURGLARY

A resident in the 4200 block of South 22nd Street reported her garage door was opened by someone shortly after midnight on Jan. 23. When the resident went outside she saw a 6-foot, 2-inch man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt walking northbound on South 122nd Street. Nothing was stolen from the garage or car, and police were unable to find the man. An extra watch in the area was requested.

A laptop computer was stolen from a residence in the 3400 block of West Mangold Avenue prior to 3:55 p.m. Jan. 23.

THEFT

A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 4800 block of South 95th Street between the evening hours of Jan. 22 and 9 a.m. Jan. 23.

A 49-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting DVDs, valued at $185, at Walmart, 4500 S. 108th St., at 2:40 p.m. Jan. 23.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting alcohol at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 4:25 p.m. Jan. 23.

A 23-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting clothing and earrings at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 1:15 p.m. Jan. 24.

A 32-year-old man and a 20-year-old man were arrested for shoplifting after they were seen opening packages and hiding CDs at Best Buy, 4610 S. 27th St., at 1:50 p.m. Jan. 24. The 20-year-old was also taken into custody for an outstanding warrant with the Fond du Lac Police Department.

A counterfeit $20 bill was passed by an unknown female at Carriage Cleaners, 3707 W. Loomis Road, prior to 6:15 p.m. Jan. 24.

Lottery tickets were reported stolen from Speedway, 6000 W. Layton Ave., at 3 a.m. Jan. 25.

A resident in the 3900 block of South Prairie Hill Lane reported the theft of jewelry at 9:20 a.m. Jan. 25.

Two unknown subjects fled after taking merchandise from Blockbuster Video, 4285 S. 76th St., at 12:15 p.m. Jan. 25. The men were described as two black males, one wearing a brown puffy coat and the other wearing a dark gray puffy coat. Police were unable to find the males.

A catalytic converter was stolen off a vehicle in the 5200 block of West Midland Drive prior to 2:25 p.m. Jan. 25.

An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from an employee's purse at George Webb, 6231 S. 27th St., prior to 3 p.m. Jan. 25.

An unknown male stole a basket full of merchandise at Walgreens, 4296 S. 76th St., shortly after 3 p.m. Jan. 25. When employees tried to stop the suspect, he fled northbound on 76th Street in a black vehicle. Police have the license plate number of the vehicle.

At 6:30 p.m. Jan. 25, a resident in the 8300 block of West Howard Avenue reported her credit card, Quest card, cash and cell phone had been stolen.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting Blu-ray movies at Target, 4777 S. 27th St., at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 26.

An unknown male suspect stole a display phone at ATT Cingular, 4739 S. 76th St., shortly before 8 p.m. Jan. 26. The suspect, described as a 20-year-old black male wearing all black and a skull cap, grabbed the phone and ran southbound on South 76th Street.

A digital media player was stolen at Whitnall High School, 5000 S. 116th St., at 3 p.m. Jan. 26.

A resident in the 4800 block of South 72nd Street reported a license plate was stolen off his car prior to 9:15 a.m. Jan. 28.

ASSAULT

A 29-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were both arrested for battery after they got into a physical altercation while playing basketball at the YMCA, 11311 W. Howard Ave., shortly after 12:30 p.m. Jan. 27.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 31-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 4300 block of West Loomis Road at 2 p.m. Jan. 23.

A 48-year-old man arrested for possession of marijuana and drunken driving in the 3500 block of South 49th Street at 8:55 p.m. Jan. 23.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 26-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after he struck another vehicle on Morgan Avenue and Beloit Road and fled the scene shortly before 8:50 p.m. Jan. 23. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

A 65-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving (third offense) in the 4500 block of West Forest Home Avenue shortly before 3 a.m. Jan. 24. His blood alcohol content was unavailable.

A 25-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for driving with prohibited alcohol content and operating after suspension in the 3800 block of West Howard Avenue. He was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant with the West Allis Police Department. A 22-year-old female passenger in his car was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 50-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving (third offense) in the 5000 block of West Loomis Road at 2:18 a.m. Jan. 29. His BAC was unavailable.

Two men, a 23-year-old and a 22-year-old, were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on South 92nd Street at 9:45 p.m. Jan. 29.

VANDALISM

A window was smashed on a vehicle parked at the Wisconsin Athletic Club, 5020 S. 110th St., prior to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 23.

Tires were slashed on Jeep Cherokee parked in the 4200 block of South 60th vehicle prior to 12:15 a.m. Jan. 24.

A recycle bin was stolen from outside a residence in the 4400 block of South 35th Street prior to 4:20 p.m. Jan. 24.

OTHER

A 40-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were arrested for disorderly conduct after a physical altercation in the 7500 block of West Cold Spring Road at 10:45 p.m. Jan. 29.

Greenfield police assisted with four rescue calls and two fire calls between Jan. 23 and Jan. 29.
