BURGLARY
A resident in the 3100 block of West Loomis Road reported the glass on his back door was broken and his house had been entered shortly after 8 a.m. Jan. 19. Police are investigating.
Two unidentified male suspects wearing dark clothing and masks took single packs of Newport cigarettes and scratch-off lottery tickets from Layton Petro Mart, 12345 W. Layton Ave., shortly before 3:15 a.m. Jan. 20. The suspects, who fled in a maroon/red Dodge or Chrysler minivan, used a pry bar to gain entry to the locked building.
A computer and three credit cards were taken from a residence in the 5400 block of South 43rd Street between 12:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Jan. 19. Police have a possible suspect and are following up.
THEFT
An undisclosed amount of change was taken from a vehicle in the 5200 block of West Forest Home Avenue prior to 11:35 a.m. Jan. 16.
Five Wii video game remotes were taken from Game Stop, 7420 W. Holmes Ave., between 6:15 p.m. and 8 p.m. Jan. 16.
A purse was taken from a vehicle in the 11300 block of West Howard Avenue between 10:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Jan. 17.
A resident in the 3600 block of South 32nd Street reported her credit card, Social Security number and insurance card were fraudulently used at a doctor's office prior to 1:25 p.m. Jan. 17.
A total of 23 cans of Good Start baby formula were taken by an unidentified male at Target, 4777 S. 27th St., at 12:49 p.m. Jan. 15 and 2:29 p.m. Jan. 16. The suspect is described as a black male, 35 years old, approximately five feet, 11 inches tall wearing a black puffy jacket and red/white/black tennis shoes.
An 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old woman were arrested for shoplifting four pairs of jeans and two shirts at TJ Maxx, 4200 S. 76th St., at 5:45 p.m. Jan. 18.
A resident in the 5000 block of South 58th Street called to report a package containing merchandise purchased on eBay was taken from his mailbox between Jan. 14 and Jan. 18.
A brown case containing a pair of sunglasses was taken from a locked car in the 3700 block of South 33rd Street between 8:30 p.m. Jan. 19 and 5 a.m. Jan. 20.
A digital media player was taken from a locked vehicle in the 3600 block of South 33rd Street between 8:30 p.m. Jan. 19 and 9:35 a.m. Jan. 20.
A catalytic converter was taken off a vehicle in the 3800 block of South Miner Street prior to 3:50 p.m. Jan. 20.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from a customer's purse at Applebee's, 5100 S. 76th St., prior to 4 p.m. Jan. 20.
DRUG POSSESSION
A 42-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 5400 block of South Tuckaway Lane at 1:07 a.m. Jan. 17.
A 21-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs (mushrooms) and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 5100 block of South 27th Street at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 17.
A 36-year-old woman was arrested for possession of narcotics after she was caught shoplifting at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 7:10 p.m. Jan. 20.
DRUNKEN DRIVING
A 24-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 9400 block of West Layton Avenue at 1:58 a.m. Jan. 17. Her blood-alcohol content was 0.08.
A 38-year-old man was arrested for drugged driving after he was involved in a three-car accident in the 4500 block of West Layton Avenue at 2:45 p.m. Jan. 17. He was transported to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.
A 21-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, on West Plainfield Avenue and West Loomis Road at 2:50 a.m. Jan. 18..
A 47-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after he was found sleeping behind the steering wheel of his vehicle on West Loomis Road and West Howard Avenue at 3:11 a.m. Jan. 18.
A 21-year-old man was arrested for drugged driving and operating after revocation after his car almost struck a median and several other vehicles on West Forest Home Avenue and West Cold Spring Road at 4:22 p.m. Jan. 18.
A 22-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving after she was involved in a two-car accident on South 76th Street and West Cold Spring Road at 5:12 p.m. Jan. 18. Her BAC was 0.21.
A 23-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, after he drove his vehicle into a ditch across from a playground in the 8300 block of West Whitaker Avenue at 1:46 a.m. Jan. 22.
ACCIDENTS
A 67-year-old South Milwaukee woman was transported to the hospital with a possible back injury after her car struck another vehicle in the Greenfield Fashion Center parking lot, 5030 S. 74th St., at 9:45 a.m. Jan. 18. The driver of the other vehicle, a 73-year-old West Allis woman, was cited for failure to yield right of way.
VANDALISM
A mailbox was struck and damaged in the 11600 block of West Sunset Lane prior to 9 a.m. Jan. 19.
A mailbox was damaged in the 3000 block of West Edgerton Avenue between noon and 6:15 p.m. Jan. 20. The officer who responded to the call used his "expert digging skills" to temporarily prop up the mailbox so the resident could continue receiving mail.
OTHER
A 29-year-old man was arrested and cited for disorderly conduct after he threatened to blow up or rob TCF Bank, 4375 S. 76th St., shortly before 4 p.m. Jan. 17.
A 38-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he wrote an obscenity on a car at Jimmy John's, 5029 S. 27th St., and then urinated next to the vehicle at 12:45 p.m. Jan. 20.
Greenfield police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with three rescue calls and one fire call between Jan. 16 and Jan. 21.
