BURGLARY

· An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen during a burglary at Nature Nail and Spa, 6241 S. 27th St., between the late evening hours of Dec. 17 and 8 a.m. Dec. 18. The front glass door was smashed to gain entry.

· An undisclosed amount of cash and a television were stolen during a burglary at Central Nail Supply, 5425 S. 27th St., between 10 p.m. Dec. 17 and 9 a.m. Dec. 18. A similar burglary occurred at a nail salon in Franklin during the same time period, and police are investigating.

· Money was stolen from an apartment in the 3900 block of South Prairie Hill Lane. It was reported at 11:25 p.m. Dec. 20.

THEFT

· Jewelry was stolen from a home in the 11700 block of West Layton Avenue. It was reported at 1:45 p.m. Dec. 16.

· A woman reported her credit card was stolen and fraudulently used at Speedway, 6000 W. Layton Ave., at 2:35 p.m. Dec. 16.

· A woman reported her cell phone was stolen after she dropped it at Sports Authority, 5070 S. 74th St., about 9 p.m. Dec. 16.

· A woman reported her purse was stolen out of her Chevy Malibu while it was parked at Walmart, 10600 W. Layton Ave., at 3:10 p.m. Dec. 17.

· Two unknown males shoplifted about $1,000 worth of merchandise at Best Buy, 4610 S. 76th St., and then fled in a blue Toyota Corolla with front end damage about 2 p.m. Dec. 18.

· About $200 was stolen from a cash box that was kept inside an office at Naked Furniture, 4450 S. 108th St., between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 18.

· A woman reported her wallet was stolen while she was shopping at Target, 4777 S. 27th St., at 2:10 p.m. Dec. 19.

· A Pioneer stereo deck, two 10-inch subwoofers and an amplifier were stolen out of a locked vehicle at the Hales Corners Park and Ride, 4800 S. 108th St., between 7 and 9 p.m. Dec. 19. The passenger-side window was smashed to gain entry.

· About 10 five-foot, powder-coated steel support beams, valued at $1,000, were stolen from outside shelving units at Walmart, 10600 W. Layton Ave., about 8:50 a.m. Dec. 20. The perpetrators drove an early 1990s, full-size, red Chevy pickup truck with a white hood. It had toolboxes on both sides of the pickup bed.

· Catalytic converters were stolen off an Oldsmobile and a Pontiac Sunfire at Greenfield Pontiac, 3615 S. 108th St., between the late evening hours of Dec. 20 and early morning hours of Dec. 21. The perpetrators are described as two white men in their 40s who drove a late 1990s to early 2000s purple Pontiac Firebird or Trans Am with a spoiler.

· A computer was stolen out of a locked car at Spring Mall Shopping Center, 4200 S. 76th St., between 12:55 and 1:25 p.m. Dec. 21. A window was smashed to gain entry.

· Items were stolen out of two locked vehicles, a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer and a 2009 Nissan Pathfinder, parked at Meyer's Restaurant, 4260 S. 76th St., between 11:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 21. Windows were broken to gain entry.
