BURGLARY

The front window facing South 27th Street was shot out by a BB gun during a possible burglary attempt at McDonald's, 4201 S. 27th St., prior to 7:10 a.m. Dec. 12. It did not appear entry was made into the business, but police are following up with McDonald's after an inventory check is complete.

A window was broken on the north side of a vacant home during a possible burglary attempt in the 4900 block of South 78th Street prior to 4:25 p.m. Dec. 13. A neighbor also stated the east side patio door was open at the home.

Multiple trailers were entered at a business in the 9600 block of West Cold Spring Road between 5:30 p.m. Dec. 13 and 6:30 a.m. Dec. 14. The report did not state if anything was taken from the trailers.

THEFT

A 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested for shoplifting after they were seen concealing cellphones in the electronics department of Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., shortly after 4 p.m. Dec. 10. The 17-year-old was also taken into custody for possession of OxyContin, a schedule II narcotic.

A 57-year-old man was cited for theft after he reportedly was caught stealing $100 from his employer, Layton Petro Mart, 12345 W. Layton Ave., around 10 a.m. Dec. 11.

Approximately $6,000 worth of gold was taken from a residence in the 11600 block of West Sunset Lane later sold to Robert Haack prior to 2:40 p.m. Dec. 11.

Three unidentified suspects shoplifted two video game systems at Game Stop, 7420 W. Holmes Ave., prior to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 11. An employee told police a female distracted the clerk while two males each grabbed a game system and fled.

An unidentified suspect shoplifted a digital media player at Game Stop, 4967 S. 76th St., about 3 p.m. Dec. 12. An employee stated the suspect asked to look at an iPod and then stole it and replaced it with another model when the manager got distracted.

Two unidentified men shoplifted two cellphones at the AT&T store, 5075 S. 76th St., at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 12. One of the suspects managed to break the security cord and conceal the phones while the other suspect distracted the employee. The suspects were last seen walking towards Edgerton.

A necklace was taken from a residence in the 5400 block of Somerset Lane shortly before 8 p.m. Dec. 12. The resident said it was taken by a homeless person she had invited over.

A catalytic converter was taken off a vehicle at Classic Lanes, 5404 W. Layton Ave., between 9 a.m. and noon Dec. 13.

A 25-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl were arrested for shoplifting by an off-duty police officer at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., about 1:45 p.m. Dec. 13. The girl was also cited for resisting arrest and marijuana possession.

A gray, four-door 2012 Nissan Murano SUV was taken from Boucher Nissan, 4141 S. 108th St., between Oct. 15 and Dec. 13.

An 18-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was seen concealing a watch and reading glasses in her pocket and sleeve at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 14.

Police are investigating the theft of mail in the 5900 block of South 35th Street that occurred sometime prior to 6:30 a.m. Dec. 15. A caller reported numerous mailboxes were found with the doors open and mail was scattered around the area.

A 20-year-old woman was arrested for employee theft after she allegedly took an undisclosed amount of money at Old Country Buffet, 4902 S. 74th St., prior to 4:10 p.m. Dec. 15.

A 23-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was seen concealing merchandise at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 16.

ASSAULT

A 29-year-old Iowa man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he attacked a man and knocked him to the ground, then came into the store yelling and swearing at the clerk at Speedway, 3390 W. Loomis Road, shortly before 7 p.m. Dec. 14. The victim who was attacked fled the scene prior to police arrival.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 34-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 7600 block of West Layton Avenue at 10:50 p.m. Dec. 14.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 4400 block of South 110th Street at 7:50 p.m. Dec. 16.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 53-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on 35th Street and Howard Avenue at 1:40 a.m. Dec. 12. His blood alcohol content was 0.14.

A 21-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving behind Value City, 4771 S. 27th St., at 2:15 a.m. Dec. 13. Her BAC was 0.18.

A 41-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, on 27th Street and Layton Avenue at 2:45 a.m. Dec. 13. A motorist had seen a car driving on the shoulder and only going 20 mph. Her BAC was unavailable.

A 38-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, fifth offense, he drove over the curb and almost struck a store sign after he left Cold Spring Liquor at the intersection of 60th Street and Cold Spring Road at 12:35 p.m. Dec. 13. A blood draw was taken, the results of which were unavailable.

A 21-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on 27th Street and Howard Avenue at 12:50 a.m. Dec. 15. His BAC was unavailable.

A 35-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, on South 84th Street and Interstate 43 shortly after 11:30 p.m. Dec. 16. His BAC was unavailable.

ACCIDENTS

A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was transported to the hospital with possible injuries after her car collided with a vehicle that ran a red light at Cold Spring Road and Forest Home Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. Dec. 9. The driver of the other vehicle, a 56-year-old Waterford woman, was cited for inattentive driving and disregarding a traffic signal.

An 85-year-old West Allis woman was transported to the St. Francis Hospital after she was struck and knocked over by a car while walking in the parking lot at Stein's Garden Center, 3725 S. 108th St., shortly before 5 p.m. Dec. 14. The driver of the vehicle, a 57-year-old West Allis woman, was not cited at the time of the report.

A 15-year-old Greenfield boy sustained leg injuries after he was struck by a car while riding his bike on the sidewalk past a parking lot exit on Loomis Road and Layton Avenue at 5:50 p.m. Dec. 14. The driver, a 34-year-old Milwaukee man, was cited for inattentive driving.

VANDALISM

A window of a van was smashed while it was parked at Glenwood Elementary School, 3550 S. 51st St., prior to 4:45 p.m. Dec. 10.

A window of a truck was broken while it was parked at Club Paragon, 3578 S. 108th St., between 7:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Dec. 10.

Graffiti was spray-painted on the side of the building at Schweitzer's, 6437 W. Forest Home Ave., between the evening of Dec. 7 and 8 a.m. Dec. 11.

Two holes were shot through a window with a BB gun at a residence in the 3500 block of South 48th Street at 2:15 p.m. Dec. 11.

A BB was shot through a second-story window of a residence in the 3600 block of South 34th Street between 6:45 p.m. Dec. 11 and 6:15 a.m. Dec. 12.

A door and doorbell were vandalized and racial slurs were written on the door in the 6600 block of West Barnard Avenue prior to 11:15 am. Dec. 14.

A tire on a vehicle was punctured in the 3400 block of South Crandon Place prior to 5:25 p.m. Dec. 16.

OTHER

A 58-year-old man was arrested for obstructing police (giving a false name) after he was pulled over for traffic violations in the 6200 block of South 27th Street at 1:20 a.m. Dec. 10. He was also cited for operating after suspension, displaying unauthorized plates and no insurance.

Two counterfeit $20 bills were passed at McDonald's, 4275 S. 27th St., between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Dec. 10.

Three unidentified suspects purchased $200 worth of merchandise and paid for it with a fraudulent check at Party City, 5058 S. 74th St., about 7 p.m. Dec. 11. The suspects, two females and one male, fled the lot in a vehicle.

An unidentified man exited the passenger side of a vehicle and kicked a woman's car, accusing her of not leaving enough room for his driver to pull into the parking lot, at Pick 'n Save on 76th Street and Cold Spring Road about 5:25 p.m. Dec. 13.

Greenfield police responded to two domestic violence calls and assisted with six rescue calls and one fire call between Dec. 10 and Dec. 16.
