A lawnmower, snowblower, five bicycles and power tools were taken from a garage in the 3600 block of South Rivershire Drive between July 29 and July 31. There were no signs of forced entry. Police are investigating.
An air-conditioning unit, pipes and other items were taken from a foreclosed home in the 3100 block of West College Avenue prior to 1:30 p.m. July 31. Access was gained through an open window.
Two male juveniles were arrested for prowling and attempted burglary after a resident saw them rummaging through a neighbor's garage in the 3300 block of West Bridge Street shortly after 11:30 a.m. Aug. 2. Police also cited a 38-year-old woman for obstructing police during the subsequent investigation.
A laptop computer was taken from a vehicle at Budget Cinemas, 4475 S. 108th St., on July 26.
A double stroller was taken from a driveway in the 3300 block of South 46th Street between 4:45 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. July 31.
An 18-speed bicycle and a light blue Misty children's bicycle were taken from outside a residence in the 9100 block of West Waterford Square North between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. July 31.
A dark blue 2003 Chevy Impala was taken in the 3300 block of West Grange Avenue prior to 4:45 p.m. Aug. 2. Police have the name of a suspect and are investigating.
A 27-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was seen concealing clothing items in a fitting room at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 7:05 p.m. Aug. 2.
A black Pontiac Grand Am was taken by the ex-girlfriend of the car's owner in the 6200 block of West Armour Avenue prior to 7:45 p.m. Aug. 2.
A purse containing a cellphone, a digital media player and cash was taken from a shopping cart at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., around 9:30 p.m. Aug. 2. The victim stated she forgot her purse in the cart, and when she returned 10 minutes later the purse was gone. Employees were unable to locate the purse.
A 21-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., shortly after 2 p.m. Aug. 3. The suspect fled the scene in a minivan, but was located by police.
A 61-year-old man was arrested for theft after he was seen taking a white porcelain angel statue from a business property and putting it in the trunk of his car 6100 block of West Layton Avenue shortly before 4:30 p.m. Aug. 3. Police located the suspect at nearby, and he was taken into custody.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing merchandise at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., shortly before 5:30 p.m. Aug. 4. A second suspect, a male juvenile, fled from the store and was located on South 20th Street and West Layton Avenue, where he was taken into custody. The juvenile was cited for shoplifting, resisting arrest and obstructing police.
A 25-year-old man was arrested for possession of narcotics during a traffic stop on South 27th Street and West Morgan Avenue at 8:25 p.m. July 30.
A 22-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after he was seen lying on the side of the road in the 4200 block of South 60th Street at 2:25 p.m. Aug. 4. The suspect was taken to a hospital and was cited after he was released.
An 18-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 3400 block of South 106th Street shortly before 10 p.m. Aug. 5.
A 48-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving (fourth offense) on South 27th Street and West Howard Avenue at 1:55 a.m. July 30. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.
A 24-year-old Illinois man was arrested for drunken driving on Forest Home Avenue and 76th Street at 2 a.m. Aug. 1. His preliminary blood alcohol content was unavailable.
A woman (age and address not immediately available) was arrested for drunken driving after her vehicle she collided with another vehicle in the 3600 block of West Layton Avenue shortly before 3 a.m. Aug. 2. The other driver called police after he exchanged information with the suspect because it appeared she was intoxicated. The suspect was located at her residence and taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable at the time of the report.
A 21-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on West Loomis and West Cold Spring roads shortly after 3 a.m. Aug. 5. His preliminary BAC was unavailable.
Three vegetable gardens were damaged at an apartment complex in the 4900 block of South Greenbrook Terrace prior to 5:15 p.m. July 30.
A window of a parked car was smashed by a brick in the 12200 block of West White Oak Drive prior to 7:15 a.m. Aug. 1. The brick had "Don't hate, appreciate" written on it.
The word "whore" was spray-painted on a vehicle in the 8000 block of West Barnard Avenue between late evening Aug. 1 and 8 a.m. Aug. 2.
A 31-year-old man was arrested for prowling after a resident called police to report a man carrying pipes away from a home for sale in the 3100 block of West College Avenue at 2:25 p.m. Aug. 5.
A resident called police after she saw an unknown male urinate on her lawn in the 3700 block of South 47th Street at 8:20 p.m. Aug. 5. Police were unable to locate the suspect.
Greenfield police responded to two domestic violence calls and assisted with three rescue calls and one fire call between July 30 and Aug. 5.
