Summer rec guide available, signups soon

West Allis - The summer activity guide with all kinds of activities and events offered by the West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation and Community Services Department is now available.

The guide has been delivered to all school district residents and it can be viewed online at wawmrec.com.

A limited number of copies of the guide is available at the West Milwaukee Village Hall, West Allis City Hall, West Allis Health Department, West Allis Public Library, and the WA-WM School District Administration Center.

Resident registration begins April 16.

Supreme Court Justice gives talk at Central

West Allis - Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Patience Drake Roggensack spoke at West Allis Central High School on March 21.

Roggensack, who has served on the court for nearly a decade, spoke at a school assembly of about 100 business education students. Her talk was titled, "Poker Chips and a Green Hat: An Insider's View of the Supreme Court."
