THEFT

• A 30-year-old woman was arrested for trying to pass a fraudulent check at Wisconsin Credit Union, 6126 W. Layton Ave., at 12:56 p.m. June 7.

• A Global Positioning System, a charger and some checks were taken from a vehicle in the 4200 block of South 79th Street prior to 3:49 p.m. June 8.

• A GPS unit was taken from a vehicle in the 7800 block of Plainfield Avenue prior to 6:04 p.m. June 8.

• A 21-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman were arrested for shoplifting at Walmart, 4500 S. 108th St., at 7:21 p.m. June 8.

• A 21-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman were arrested for shoplifting at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 8:08 p.m. June 8.

• Several CDs and an MP3 player were taken from a vehicle in the 4700 block of West Howard Avenue prior to 4:33 p.m. June 9.

• A stereo was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 3500 block of South 46th Street prior to 5:38 p.m. June 10.

• A purse was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 4300 block of South 41st Street prior to 6:32 a.m. June 11.

• Fifty-two Summerfest tickets were taken from a vehicle in the 3300 block of South 45th Street prior to 3:37 p.m. June 11.

• A 60-year-old man was arrested for defrauding a taxi driver after he refused to pay his fare in the 5100 block of South 27th Street at 4:42 a.m. June 12.

• A 38-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting at Pick 'n Save, 4200 S. 76th St., at 3:28 p.m. June 12.

• A 38-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting at Pick 'n Save at 6:11 p.m. June 12.

• A purse and cell phone were taken from a vehicle in the lot of Budget Cinema, 4475 S. 108th St., prior to 9:46 p.m. June 12.

• Several lawn ornaments were taken from one residence and solar-powered yard lights were taken from another in the 8800 block of West Waterford Square prior to 11:32 p.m. June 13.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

• A 22-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, in the 5500 block of South 43rd Street at 12:36 a.m. June 7 after police received reports that a street sign and eight mailboxes had been knocked over. He was taken to a hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were not available.

• A 19-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 4500 block of South 35th Street at 4:24 p.m. June 8. He was taken to a hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were not available.

• A 59-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 7700 block of West Layton Avenue at 12:53 a.m. June 13. She was taken to a hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were not available.

• A 20-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, at South 76th Street and West Cold Spring Road at 1:49 a.m. June 13 after a witness saw the man's vehicle hit a parked car and drive off. He was taken to a hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were not available.

• A 40-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving at South 68th Street and West Armour Avenue at 3:13 a.m. June 13. His blood-alcohol content was not available.

DRUG POSSESSION

• An 18-year-old woman was arrested for possession of marijuana and retail theft, a 17-year-old boy was arrested for possession of marijuana, disorderly conduct and retail theft and a 17-year-old boy was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of tobacco and retail theft at JoAnn Fabrics, 4950 S. 74th St., at 6:12 p.m. June 9.

VANDALISM

• A mailbox was damaged in the 4500 block of South 69th Street prior to 6:59 a.m. June 10.

• Graffiti was marked on the front and side of Freestyle Graphics, 4901 W. Forest Home Ave., prior to 1:57 p.m. June 10.

• The mirror was broken on a vehicle in the 10100 block of West Cold Spring Road prior to 8:01 a.m. June 11.

OTHER

• A 26-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he threatened to blow up an employee's car and was yelling at employees of Riverside Finance, 6180 W. Layton Ave., at 1:41 p.m. June 11.
