THEFT

Two women shoplifted a Bose stereo system worth $2,500 at Best Buy, 4610 S. 76th St., at 3:20 p.m. Jan. 12.

A brand new laptop computer was stolen out of a vehicle in the lot at Pacific Produce, 5455 S. 27th St., at about 6:45 p.m. Jan. 15. The thief smashed a window to gain entry.

A 37-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting $75 worth of clothing at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., and was taken into custody for having an outstanding warrant with the Elm Grove Police Department at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 15. A second shoplifting suspect fled prior to officer's arrival.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was seen concealing items at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 5:20 p.m. Jan. 16.

A 47-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting $41 worth of nail polish and lipstick at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 6:35 p.m. Jan. 16. She was also taken into custody for having a valid warrant through the Glendale Police Department and a probation violation.

A loss prevention specialist at Walmart, 10600 W. Layton Ave., called police at 8:40 p.m. Jan. 16 to report a quick-change artist stole $1,400 from a cashier earlier that day.

A 58-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting $175 worth of clothing at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 1:10 p.m. Jan. 17.

A 26-year-old woman was arrested for theft on 108th Street and Cold Spring Road after she was unable to pay her cab fare at 1:25 a.m. Jan. 18.

Officers responding to a report of two people fighting in the parking lot at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., arrested a 21-year-old man for shoplifting at 12:40 p.m. Jan. 18. The suspect was fighting with an employee who tried to detain him for shoplifting.

A stereo, speakers and an amplifier were stolen out of a car in the 4000 block of South 43rd Street prior to 1 p.m. Jan. 18.

An 18-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting an undisclosed amount of merchandise at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 10 p.m. Jan. 18.

A 32-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing items in his jacket at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 11 p.m. Jan. 18.

An employee called police after a man and woman shoplifted liquor at Loomis Food and Beverage, 4415 W. Loomis Road, at 12:45 p.m. Jan. 19, then fled the lot in a blue van.

A microwave oven worth $35 was stolen out of a room at the Hideaway, 5105 S. 27th St., sometime before 3 p.m. Jan. 19.

A woman's purse was stolen out of a van in the 4100 block of South 108th Street. Her credit card was used at various locations between 8:25 a.m. and 9:23 a.m. Jan. 20.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 4500 block of South 84th Street at 5:35 p.m. Jan. 15.

An 18-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after he was involved in a two-car accident in the 4200 block of West Layton Avenue at 5:25 p.m. Jan. 17.

ACCIDENTS

A 34-year-old West Allis woman was transported to the hospital after she lost control of her vehicle and struck a light pole on West Edgerton Avenue and South 72nd Street at 12:54 p.m. Jan. 13. She was cited for speeding/driving too fast for conditions, operating after suspension and no insurance.

OTHER

A driver called police after he was allegedly assaulted by man during a road rage incident in the lot at Petro Mart, 12345 W. Layton Ave., at 5:40 p.m. Jan. 14. Police know the identity of the suspect and are following up.

A 14-year-old boy was cited for carrying a concealed weapon after he brought a kitchen knife to Whitnall Middle School, 5025 S. 116th St., Jan. 15.

A resident in the 4800 block of South Katelyn Circle called police when a woman banged on his door in an attempt to steal his computer at 8:20 p.m. Jan. 17. The resident told police he met the woman through " backpage.com," and invited her to his house when she attempted to steal his computer, but was unsuccessful. She left prior to the officer's arrival. The resident was warned about these types of subjects and prostitution.

A 52-year-old man was cited for disorderly conduct after he put his hand in his neighbor's face during an argument in the 5000 block of South Greenbrook Terrace at 6:40 p.m. Jan. 19.

FIRE

Greenfield police responded to three domestic violence calls and assisted with three rescue calls between Jan. 14 and Jan. 20.
