Police are seeking a man who robbed Associated Bank, 4811 S. 76th St., at 5:12 p.m. Jan. 11. The suspect was described as black, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds and wearing a black-and-blue zip-up jacket underneath a black jacket with brown fur on the hood and a black New York Yankees hat. He passed a note to the teller and obtained an undisclosed amount of money before running out the front door.
A TV, some change, a watch and cologne were taken from an apartment in the 4200 block of West Hillcrest Drive prior to 1:42 a.m. Jan. 12. A window screen was cut for entry.
A 35-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was seen concealing health and beauty products and Packers merchandise at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 4:45 p.m. Jan. 7. She was also taken into custody for having an outstanding warrant through the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department for retail theft.
A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing infant formula in a backpack at Target, 4777 S. 27th St., at about 5:30 p.m. Jan. 7. He fled in vehicle with two women, but police stopped the suspect vehicle in the 4500 block of South 27th Street, where he was taken into custody.
An employee at Best Buy, 4610 S. 76th St., called police after two boys concealed video games in their jackets and fled at 5:35 p.m. Jan. 7. The boys were described as black, about 10 to 12 years old, with one wearing a red hoodie under a black jacket and the other wearing a black jacket with fur trim. Police were unable to locate the boys.
An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested for shoplifting four memory cards at H.H. Gregg Appliances, 4585 S. 76th St., shortly after 6 p.m. Jan. 7. The suspects fled on foot but were located and taken into custody by police.
Personal items were taken from a vehicle in the parking lot at Club Paragon, 3578 S. 108th St., between 7:30 p.m. Jan. 7 and 1:15 a.m. Jan. 8.
A white cargo work van was taken in the 3600 block of South 33rd Street between 12:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. Jan. 8. The van was located, with its rear license plate missing, in the 1600 block of South 22nd Street by Milwaukee police at 8:50 a.m. Jan. 9.
A 45-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting a $330 cellphone at Best Buy, 4610 S. 76th St., at 7 p.m. Jan. 8.
A 23-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting beer at Sendik's, 7901 W. Layton Ave., shortly before 2 p.m. Jan. 10.
The rear license plate was taken off a vehicle in the 4900 block of South 76th Street prior to 2:15 p.m. Jan. 10.
A 31-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing video games in a book bag at Best Buy, 4610 S. 76th St., at about 3 p.m. Jan. 10.
A laptop computer was taken from one car and personal items were taken from two other cars parked at Club Paragon, 3578 S. 108th St., prior to 10 p.m. Jan. 10.
A cellphone was taken from a display at AT&T, 4739 S. 76th St., on Jan. 10.
A radar detector was taken from an unlocked truck parked in the 4000 block of South 83rd Street between late evening Jan. 10 and 9:30 a.m. Jan. 11.
A stereo, a watch and a necklace were taken from a car in the 6500 block of West English Meadows Drive prior to 9:55 a.m. Jan. 11.
A man and a woman shoplifted numerous clothing items from the juniors department at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 11. They were gone before police arrived.
An unidentified man shoplifted 12 DVD sets at Walmart, 10600 W. Layton Ave., then fled eastbound on West Layton Avenue to a waiting vehicle at 4:50 p.m. Jan. 11.
A 32-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was seen concealing an unknown amount of merchandise at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 11.
A 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were arrested for shoplifting after they attempted to walk out the emergency entrance with two cartloads of merchandise at Walmart, 10600 W. Layton Ave., at about 12:25 a.m. Jan. 12. The two men were captured by police and the K9 unit after they fled on foot. Two other men who also attempted to steal a cart load of merchandise fled in a tan minivan and were not located.
A sewing machine was taken out of its box at Viking Sewing Machines, 4950 S. 74th St., between late evening Jan. 11 and 9 a.m. Jan. 12.
A 36-year-old woman was arrested for physical abuse of a child after she called police to report her 13-year-old daughter was refusing to go to school at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 11.
A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of a narcotic drug after he was taken into custody for operating a vehicle after license revocation on 62nd Street and Layton Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. Jan. 8.
An 18-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 3700 block of South 116th Street at 6:55 p.m. Jan. 10.
A 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after a 911 caller reported their car almost struck her vehicle on 108th Street and Layton Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. Jan. 11.
A 28-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 7500 block of West Cold Sring Road at 2:15 a.m. Jan. 10. His blood alcohol content was 0.10.
Officers responding to a report of a man causing problems at H&R Block, 4360 S. 76th St., arrested a 57-year-old man for drunken driving at 8:40 p.m. Jan. 11. The man, who was driving a red sports car, kept coming back to the business to see his ex-girlfriend despite being told several times to leave and not come back. His BAC was 0.13.
A 28-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for driving without his headlights lit on 84th Street and Allerton Avenue at about 2:15 a.m. Jan. 13. His BAC was unavailable.
Four people were transported to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries after a 32-year-old Greenfield woman traveling southbound on 84th Street failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a vehicle traveling eastbound on West Cold Spring Road at about 1 p.m. Jan. 6. The woman was cited for disregarding a stop sign, no insurance and an instruction permit violation.
A vehicle was scratched with a key while it was parked at Olive Garden, 4760 S. 76th St., between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Jan. 11. A damage estimate was unavailable.
A catalytic converter on a vehicle was damaged while it was parked at the Hales Corners Park-and-Ride, 4760 S. 76th St., on Jan. 10. The pipe in back of the converter was cut clean off, but the front was still intact.
An employee at Next Level Staffing, 6009 W. Layton Ave., called police after receiving a threatening phone call at 10:40 a.m. Jan. 7. The caller, a male who sounded as though he was in his early to mid-20s, asked if they had positions open at the business and when told no, he threatened employees.
An resident at an apartment building in the 3300 block of South 100th Street called police at 2:20 p.m. Jan. 7 to report another tenant has been kicking and scratching on her apartment door while she is gone in order to aggravate her dog. Another tenant said they witnessed the tenant doing this. All were advised and warned about their behavior.
A 22-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man were arrested for disorderly conduct after they got into a physical altercation at Genesis Restaurant, 3740 S. 108th St., at 2:45 a.m. Jan. 12.
Greenfield police responded to two domestic violence calls and assisted with three rescue calls between Jan. 7 and Jan. 13.
