BURGLARY

Someone cut a bedroom screen window of a home in the 4500 block of South Greenridge Circle in an apparent burglary attempt sometime between Nov. 16 and 19. The would-be intruder did not gain entry to the home.

Two gaming systems were stolen from a residence in the 3200 block of South 44th Street prior to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 19. The victim told police her son lost his house key and the side door was unlocked when she arrived home.

A front door was busted open and an undisclosed amount of items were stolen from a home in the 3400 block of West Colony Drive between 10:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Nov. 21.

A 30-gallon air compressor and a chainsaw were stolen out of a garage in the 4600 block of South 43rd Street prior to 10 a.m. Nov. 25.

A resident in the 4200 block of South 94th Street reported two 9mm handguns were stolen from his residence during the summer months at 3:25 p.m. Nov. 25.

THEFT

A bicycle was stolen off a vehicle in the 3300 block of South Strothmann Drive between 1:30 p.m. Nov. 18 and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 19.

A cell phone was reported stolen from Boucher Nissan, 4141 S. 108th St., shortly after 6 p.m. Nov. 19.

A stereo was stolen out of an SUV in the 3700 block of South 47th Street between the late evening hours of Nov. 20 and 6:55 a.m. Nov. 21. A second car was also broken into at the same location but it was unknown if anything was stolen at the time of the report.

A maintenance worker reported concrete barriers were stolen from the 3900 block of South 84th Street at 11:40 a.m. Nov. 20.

A boy was arrested for stealing a bicycle from the playground at Glenwood School, 3550 S. 51st St., between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Nov. 21. The bicycle was recovered and returned to the victim.

An employee called police to report that two black females driving a large, tan vehicle shoplifted around $500 worth of merchandise from Plato's Closet, 7820 W. Layton Ave., between 3:50 and 4 p.m. Nov. 21.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for employee theft at TJ Maxx, 4200 S. 76th St., at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 21.

A 22-year-old woman, an 18-year-old woman and a 20 -year-old woman were arrested for shoplifting after they were seen taking price tags off items at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 22.

The left front wheel was stolen off a car in the 10600 block of West Layton Avenue prior to 3:45 p.m. Nov. 23.

A resident reported $126 was stolen from his room at Kindred, 5700 W. Layton Ave., between Nov. 24 and 1:20 p.m. Nov. 25.

A 29-year-old man was arrested for forgery after he cashed several stolen checks from a home in the 5000 block of South 34th Street at 8:40 a.m. Nov. 24.

Change was stolen out of an SUV in the 4300 block of South 48th Street between the late evening hours of Nov. 24 and 11 a.m. Nov. 25.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting several items at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., shortly after noon Nov. 24. She fled from store security and was found at Suburban Motel, where she was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

A 24-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen taking hard drives out of boxes and giving them to another man at Best Buy, 4610 S. 76th St., shortly before 1 p.m. Nov. 24. The men fled the store and the suspect was taken into custody by police at Woodland and West Layton Avenue.

A cell phone was stolen at Walmart, 10600 West Layton Ave., at 11 a.m. Nov. 25.

A license plate was stolen off a vehicle in the 3600 block of South 33rd Street prior to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 25.

Three black females shoplifted television sets at Walmart, 10600 W. Layton Ave., prior to 8:50 p.m. Nov. 25. The women were seen pushing the televisions into the parking lot without paying for them.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 22-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of narcotics and a 21-year-old woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to Best Buy, 4610 S. 76th St., after the pair attempted to make a false return at 5:45 p.m. Nov. 24. The two were also cited for shoplifting.

A 22-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon during a traffic stop in the 4600 block of South 27th Street shortly before 7 p.m. Nov. 24.

An 18-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and a girl was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 4700 block of South 27th street at 6:40 p.m. Nov. 25.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 20-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 4000 block of South 27th Street at 1:35 p.m. Nov. 22. His blood-alcohol content was unavailable.

A 64-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 4800 block of West Forest Home Avenue at 2:25 a.m. Nov. 25. His BAC was unavailable.

ACCIDENTS

A 55-year-old West Allis woman was transported to the hospital with possible injuries after a collision on Beloit Road and Highway 45 shortly before 9 p.m. Nov. 17. The woman stated she had a green light and the driver of a turning car, a 23-year-old West Allis man, stated he had the green turn arrow. No tickets were issued at the time of the accident due to conflicting testimony.

A 55-year-old New Berlin woman was transported to the hospital with injuries after her car was struck by a driver who ran a stop sign on 124th Street and Cold Spring Road at 6:50 p.m. Nov. 19. The driver of the other vehicle, a 59-year-old Greenfield man, was cited for disregarding a traffic sign.

A 32-year-old Milwaukee man was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries when a car driven by a 60-year-old Greendale man made a left turn in front of his motorcycle on Oklahoma Avenue and 103rd Street shortly after 4 p.m. Nov. 20. The Greendale man was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.

A 42-year-old Oak Creek woman was cited for inattentive driving, hit and run and no insurance after she struck a street light pole in the median and knocked it over while attempting to merge into a left turn lane on Layton Avenue and 90th Street shortly after 3 p.m. Nov. 22. The woman fled the scene of the crime and returned one hour later as city crews were removing the pole from the roadway.

VANDALISM

A manager's vehicle was keyed at Baker's Square, 4900 S. 76th St., prior to 1:40 p.m. Nov. 19.

A resident in the 4300 block of South 51st Street reported the driver of a small, black vehicle struck his mailbox and fled southbound on 51st Street shortly after 8:30 a.m. Nov. 20.

Nails were thrown across the parking lot at the southeast entrance of the Greenfield Police Station, 5300 W. Layton Ave., prior to 4:15 p.m. Nov. 24. No cars or tires were damaged.

OTHER

A resident called police to report a deer carcass was lying in traffic on 46th Street, just south of Morgan Avenue, at 12:45 p.m. Nov. 19. Police checked the deer tag and located an address for the owner of the deer. They made contact with the deer owner's brother, who told police his tailgate must have opened without realizing it and the deer fell out of the truck. The deer was turned over to its owner.

A 19-year-old Michigan man was arrested for passing a forged prescription for Oxycodone at Walgreens, 4296 S. 76th St., shortly after 1 p.m. Nov. 20.

Two women, ages 23 and 33, were arrested for disorderly conduct after they got into a physical altercation at Regency Beauty Institute, 7995 W. Layton Ave., at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 20.

A 46-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he was seen urinating in front of Aldi in the 10500 block of West Coldspring Road at 7:35 p.m. Nov. 20.

A resident called police after he reportedly saw a wolf in the area of 78th Street and Holmes Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. Nov. 20. Police were unable to locate the animal.

A 51-year-old man was cited for obstructing traffic by loitering after he stood in the middle of the road on Layton Avenue and 27th Street holding a sign stating he was homeless shortly after 4 p.m. Nov. 21.

An 18-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl were cited for underage drinking after police pulled them over for driving a car without license plates in the 7500 block of West Holmes Avenue at 2:45 a.m. Nov. 23.

An 18-year-old man was cited for operating without a license and four boys were cited for curfew violations after an employee at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., reported they were driving around the parking lot flashing gang signs at customers at 4:35 a.m. Nov. 23.

About 10 gallons of gas were siphoned out of a state patrol car parked in a driveway on South 35th Street prior to noon Nov. 23.

A 61-year-old man was cited for disorderly conduct after he defecated and made a mess in the bathroom at McDonald's, 4275 S. 27th St., then was seen asking people for money in the parking lot at 5:20 p.m. Nov. 23.

A resident called police after her boyfriend allegedly broke her phone, attempted to strangle her Guinea pig, then pushed her at her residence in the 9000 block of West Waterford Square North around 10:30 p.m. Nov. 25. Police were unable to locate the suspect.

Greenfield police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with four rescue calls and one fire call between Nov. 19 and Nov. 25.
