BURGLARY

Basement and bathroom fixtures were stolen and countertops were taken apart during a residential burglary in the 3500 block of South 45th Street before 11 a.m. Oct. 26. The owner stated she came to the house to check on it and found the back door partially open and items missing.

Two basement windows were broken out during an attempted burglary at a residence in the 4300 block of South 36th Street before 4:25 p.m. Oct. 28.

THEFT

A woman's purse was stolen out of her car while it was parked in the 12000 block of West Black Oak Drive between 2:30 p.m. Oct. 21 and the morning of Oct. 22. The purse was recovered on a neighboring property with several items missing, including an ATM card that was fraudulently used by the unknown suspect(s).

An unknown suspect stole urinal flushers out of the men's room at McDonald's, 5040 S. 76th St., at 11 a.m. The manager stated he had a video of the suspect, who was no longer at the restaurant.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting $50 worth of pillowcases at Target, 4777 S. 27th St., at 1:35 p.m. Oct. 22.

Toilet flusher parts were stolen out of a bathroom at ITT Technical College, 6300 W. Layton Ave., at 11:47 p.m. Oct. 22. The suspect was captured on video surveillance; police are following up.

A male juvenile was arrested after he stole a car from his grandmother in the 8900 block of West Howard Avenue on Oct. 23. The boy took the car without his grandmother's consent around 5:30 p.m. Oct. 22, and police located the vehicle and the suspect in the 3800 block of West Howard Avenue at 1:25 a.m. Oct. 23. The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old man, was cited for operating after suspension.

A laptop computer was stolen out of a locked car parked at The Forum, 4711 S. 108th St., between 8:30 and 9:40 p.m. Oct. 22. The front passenger side window was broken to gain access.

A 69-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting a watch and a shirt, valued at $32, at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., shortly after 1 p.m. Oct. 23.

A wallet was stolen out of a locker at the Southwest Suburban YMCA, 11311 W. Howard Ave., before 9 p.m. Oct. 23.

Change, cigarettes and a pocket knife were stolen from a truck parked in the 6900 block of West Armour Avenue between 6 and 10:05 p.m. Oct. 24.

A resident came to the police station shortly before 2:30 p.m. Oct. 24 to report medication was being stolen out of his mailbox in the 4900 block of South Greenbrook Terrace.

A woman reported her wallet was stolen at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., and her credit cards were used before 5:40 p.m. Oct. 24.

Two males in their early 20s shoplifted a video game console from Gamestop, 7420 W. Holmes Ave., at 6:50 p.m. Oct. 24. The suspects were last seen traveling westbound on Holmes Avenue on bicycles.

A white Plymouth Voyager van with rust along the bottom sides, a loud muffler and an "I'm Awesome" sticker on the back window was stolen from a parking lot in the 3100 block of West American Drive before 9:10 a.m. Oct. 25.

Two center caps were stolen off a Cadillac Escalade at Diamond Jims, 5265 S. 27th St., between the late evening hours of Oct. 24 and 9 a.m. Oct. 25.

A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 3900 block of South 41st Street between the late evening hours of Oct. 24 and noon Oct. 25.

A portable video game player and a video game, valued at $170, were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 6900 block of West Armour Avenue before 4 p.m. Oct. 25.

An unknown man shoplifted an LCD computer panel at Best Buy, 4610 S. 76th St., at 5:20 p.m. Oct. 26. The man fled the lot in a black Chevy Venture and was last seen driving northbound on South 76th Street.

A 21-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested for shoplifting at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 8:20 p.m. Oct. 26.

A 29-year-old woman was cited for theft after her upstairs neighbor called police to report she was stealing his electricity in the 3600 block of South 34th Street at 2:10 a.m. Oct. 27. The woman had been warned for stealing her neighbor's electricity in August, and was told if it happened again she would be cited.

The rear license plate of a vehicle was stolen while it was parked in the 4800 block of West Coldpsring Road between the evening hours of Oct. 26 and noon Oct. 27.

An employee called police when a female shoplifter pushed her after she attempted to stop her from leaving with a cart of merchandise at Dollar Tree, 6261 S. 27th St., at 1:55 p.m. Oct. 28. Police are seeking the suspect, a 46-year-old woman, for questioning.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 20-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 4700 block of South 76th Street at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 27.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 54-year-old Michigan man was arrested for drunken driving in the 10200 block of West Cold Spring Road at 2:20 a.m. Oct. 24. He was transported to St. Luke's for treatment of diabetes, but left the hospital before an officer arrived to take him in for booking. The suspect was located at South 43rd Street and Morgan Avenue, brought back to the station and booked.

A 46-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 9000 block of West Forest Home Avenue at 3:50 a.m. Oct. 27.

A 43-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 4300 block of West Loomis Road at 1:15 a.m. Oct. 28.

A 52-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on 124th Street and Howard Avenue at 9:50 p.m. Oct. 28.

ACCIDENTS

An 18-year-old West Allis woman was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries after her vehicle was struck by a car while she was making a left turn from northbound 60th Street onto Cold Spring Road at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14. She was cited for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn.

A 71-year-old Greenfield woman was transported to the hospital with possible injuries after her car was struck while she was making a left turn from northbound 60th Street onto Bottsford Avenue at 4:21 p.m. Oct. 22. She was cited for failure to yield the right of way. The driver of the other vehicle, a 15-year-old West Allis boy, fled after the accident. He was arrested and cited for operating a vehicle without a license, operating an unregistered vehicle, improper registration/plates, no insurance and failure to report an accident (hit and run).

A 40-year-old New Lisbon man was injured and transported to the hospital after his car was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Cold Spring Road and 84th Street at 10:17 a.m. Oct. 23. The driver of the other vehicle, a 56-year-old Milwaukee man, was cited for failure to yield the right of way at an intersection and no insurance.

VANDALISM

The back door of a residence in the 4400 block of West Howard Avenue was damaged after it was forced open by an unknown suspect(s) before 10:15 a.m. Oct. 24. Nothing was reported missing from inside the home.

A tire was slashed on a work van parked at Lake Auto Glass, 4440 S. 108th St., between the late evening hours of Oct. 23 and noon Oct. 24.

The driver's side window of a truck was smashed while it was parked in the 4700 block of West Cold Spring Road before 10:45 a.m. Oct. 26. An extra watch was requested in the area.

A 22-year-old man was arrested for vandalism and obstructing an officer after he broke into an upper duplex in the 3600 block of South 47th Street at 4:50 p.m. Oct. 26.

Oil was poured all over a car and sugar was poured into the gas tank while it was parked in the 4900 block of West Cold Spring Road before noon Oct. 27. Police are following up with a possible suspect.

An unknown suspect(s) threw a pumpkin through the rear window of a Mercury Villager van parked in the 4500 block of West Morgan Avenue before 11:50 a.m. Oct. 28.

Two rear tires were slashed on a vehicle parked in the 3100 block of West American Drive before 12:15 p.m. Oct. 28.

OTHER

A 46-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after she allegedly left a death threat on a voice-mail message at the corporate offices of Advanced Pain Management, 4448 W. Loomis Road, before 10 a.m. Oct. 25.

Police received a report of an elderly man sitting in a small silver vehicle and making obscene gestures at people as they passed by in the 4800 block of South Root River Parkway at 11:50 a.m. Oct. 25. Police contacted the man and warned him about his behavior.

A resident in the 7900 block of West Bottsford Avenue called police after her 83-year-old neighbor hit her leaf blower with his broom three or four times at 2:40 p.m. Oct. 25. The neighbors were warned and advised about their behavior.

A 23-year-old man was arrested for obstructing after he refused to follow officer's commands or properly identify himself during a traffic stop on South 60th Street and West Edgerton Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. Oct. 27.

Greenfield police responded to three domestic violence calls and assisted with four rescue calls between Oct. 22 and Oct. 28.
