BURGLARY

A resident in the 5500 block of South 43rd Street reported five firearms were stolen out of his garage at 11:10 a.m. March 21. The victim told police the theft occurred sometime in the last 30 days.

THEFT

A radio was stolen out of a vehicle at Russ Darrow Mazda, 3520 S. 108th St., between March 17 and March 19.

A 24-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting air fresheners at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 3:50 p.m. March 19.

A catalytic converter was stolen off a vehicle parked in the 5700 block of West Layton Avenue between 7 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. March 19.

A 17-year-old girl, two 16-year-old girls and a 15-year-old girl were arrested for shoplifting after they were seen hiding $800 to $1,000 worth of clothing at Target, 4777 S. 27th St., at 5:45 p.m. March 19.

A 22-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting a bottle of alcohol at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 6:40 p.m. March 19.

Money, sports memorabilia and medication were stolen from an unlocked car in the 4700 block of West Layton Avenue before 6:30 a.m. March 20.

A blue leather Fossil brand handbag containing a Nook color tablet and over $700 in cash, and a large brown leather Fossil brank shoulder bag were stolen from a vehicle parked at Starbucks, 4741 S. 76th St., between 7:30 and 8 a.m. March 20.

Scrap metal was reported stolen from the rear of Klemmer's, 10401 W. Oklahoma Ave., at 10:20 a.m. March 20.

A loss prevention specialist at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., reported an unknown male and female pushed a cart full of merchandise out of the store without paying and then threatened the door guard who tried to stop them shortly before 5 p.m. March 20. The two suspects fled in a gray GMC minivan.

A license plate was stolen off a vehicle in the 7000 block of West Southridge Drive between March 16 and March 19.

A 28-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting over-the-counter medications at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 5:55 p.m. March 22.

A black men's wallet and a gray and green plaid jacket were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3700 block of West Mangold Avenue between 6 p.m. March 22 and 5 a.m. March 23.

A 52-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting household goods at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 2:25 p.m. March 23.

A few phone chargers and other items were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 3500 block of West Ramsey Avenue before 4:30 p.m. March 23.

A grill was stolen from a residence in the 7000 block of West Southridge Drive before 7 p.m. March 23.

A purse containing a debit card and a JC Penney credit card was stolen from a shopping cart at Target, 4777 S. 27th St., before 9 p.m. March 23. The victim gave police a description of a possible suspect.

A 55-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 3:30 p.m. March 24.

Coins, gift cards and business cards were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 6500 block of West Forest Home Avenue before 9:40 a.m. March 25.

A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 4100 block of South 67th Street before noon March 25.

A 35-year-old man West Allis man was arrested for shoplifting at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 5:45 p.m. March 25.

ASSAULT

A 16-year-old boy was arrested for battery after allegedly striking/physically hurting his ex-girlfriend in the 4400 block of West Morgan Avenue at 6:25 p.m. March 19.

A 21-year-old man was arrested for battery after he was seen punching and kicking a vehicle and a female at Schlossmann's Automotive, 3450 S. 108th St., at 6:30 p.m. March 24. According to the police log, the suspect also struck a female employee who tried to intervene.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 25-year-old man and a 20-year-old man were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon during a traffic stop in the 5500 block of West Forest Home Avenue at 4:30 p.m. March 20.

Four men, ages 24, 30, 37 and 39, were arrested for possession of marijuana and hindering an investigation at Loomis Food & Beverage, 4415 W. Loomis Road, at 4:45 p.m. March 21. The men tried to make a purchase with a credit card that was declined, then went back into their vehicle to get another form of payment from the trunk. The suspects are also being investigated for possible credit card fraud.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and hindering during a traffic stop on 27th Street and Edgerton Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. March 24. The driver, a 22-year-old woman, was also arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and cited for operating after suspension and no insurance.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 19-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after an accident on Forest Home Avenue and 92nd Street at 2:15 a.m. March 22. His blood alcohol content was unavailable at the time of the incident report.

A 32-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on 27th Street and Ramsey Avenue at 2:30 a.m. March 23. His BAC was unavailable at the time of the report.

A 30-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for obstructing in the 4200 block of South 27th Street at 1:45 a.m. March 25. His BAC was unavailable at the time of the report.

VANDALISM

Gang graffiti was reported under the Beloit Road bridge along the bike trail in the 11200 block of West Beloit Road at 10:50 a.m. March 19.

A resident reported finding graffiti on playground equipment in the 5300 block of South Honey Creek Drive at 3 p.m. March 19.

A rock was thrown through a second-story bedroom window at a residence in the 3600 block of West Mangold Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. March 20.

Two windows were broken by rocks at a residence in the 3400 block of West Alvina Avenue between 2 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. March 20.

A resident walking his dog reported seeing a red pickup truck damage the lawn in the parkway on Brookside Drive and Abbott Avenue at 11:40 p.m. March 25. Police are following up on a license plate number.

A mailbox was struck and damaged in the 10900 block of West Coldspring Road between 4 p.m. March 24 and 10 a.m. March 25.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested for careless use of burning materials after he used a lighter to start a tree stump on fire in Glenwood Woods, 3550 S. 51st St., at 2:30 p.m. March 25.

OTHER

A 62-year-old Greenfield resident was arrested for disorderly conduct after yelling and screaming at a neighbor in the 6200 block of South 35th Street at 1:30 p.m. March 20.

A 63-year-old man was arrested for passing a forged prescription for Vicodin at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 11:30 a.m. March 20.

A 59-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he threatened a neighbor with a spiked club in the 3800 block of South 37th Street shortly before 5 p.m. March 21.

Greenfield cops responded to three domestic violence calls and assisted with four rescue calls and one fire call between March 19 and March 25.
