BRUGLARY

A resident in the 7300 block of West Southridge Drive reported her living room window was broken and her door was unlocked shortly after 11 a.m. March 12. The resident told police the entry occurred between 10 p.m. March 11 and 9 a.m. March 12, but nothing appeared to be missing. An extra watch was requested in the area.

A vacant residence in the 4100 block of South 104th Street was broken into and the basement was damaged prior to 6 p.m. March 15.

THEFT

A 26-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting $58 worth of merchandise at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 11:25 a.m. March 12.

A driver left without paying for $69 worth of gas at BP, 4715 S. 27th St., about 6 p.m. March 13.

A loss prevention specialist reported an unidentified suspect shoplifted two vacuum cleaners from Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., shortly after 11 a.m. March 14.

An employee at Speedway, 6000 W. Layton Ave., reported a suspect shoplifted a lighter and some energy shortly after 10 a.m. March 16. The employee stated she had the name of the suspect because he used a credit card at the business.

A navigation system was taken from a locked 2007 Lexus during the overnight hours of March 18-19. The vehicle's alarm system was disabled and the car's door handle was pried open.

A GPS unit was taken from a vehicle parked in the 3400 block of South 52nd Street prior to 11:45 a.m. March 18.

A snowmobile trailer was taken from a residence in the 11800 block of West Cold Spring Road prior to 2:20 p.m. March 18.

ASSAULT

A 17-year-old boy was arrested for battery after he punched a boy several times in the face outside Subway, 6007 W. Layton Ave., at 2:45 p.m. March 14.

A caller reported he was punched in the face by one of eight males who approached him while he was walking on South 68th Street and West Forest Home Avenue shortly before 8:30 p.m. March 14. The victim was transported to St. Luke's for his injuries.

A duffel bag was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 3700 block of West Howard Avenue prior to 6 a.m. March 15.

A catalytic converter was taken off a vehicle in the 4600 block of South 108th Street between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. March 14.

An employee called to report someone attempted to steal a windshield off a white Chevrolet Blazer but only took the moldings at Frontier Auto, 5141 S. 27th St., prior to 9 p.m. March 15.

A catalytic converter was taken off a 1997 Dodge van in the 6400 block of West English Meadows Drive between March 10 and March 17.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 43-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man were arrested for possession of heroin during a traffic stop on South 76th Street and West Layton Avenue at 4:30 p.m. March 12.

A 22-year-old man was arrested for possession of oxycodone at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 6 p.m. March 12.

A 21-year-old man was arrested for possession of synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on South 76th Street and West Edgerton Avenue at 8:30 p.m. March 12.

A 24-year-old woman was arrested for possession of marijuana after she struck a parked car in the 5800 block of West Cold Spring Road at 9:55 a.m. March 13.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of cocaine, marijuana and Ecstasy and resisting arrest during a traffic stop in the 5000 block of South 108th Street at 6:40 p.m. March 13.

A 22-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 6900 block of West Allerton Avenue at 10:10 p.m. March 18.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 38-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, on West Layton Avenue and West Forest Home Avenue at 1:45 a.m. March 13. His blood-alcohol content level was unavailable.

A 50-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, after a two-car accident in the 3800 block of South 108th Street at 2 a.m. March 14. His BAC was unavailable.

A 47-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, after he was involved in a car accident on South 68th Street and West Cold Spring Road at 6 p.m. March 15. His BAC was unavailable.

A 19-year-old woman and an 18-year-old woman were arrested for underage drinking during a traffic stop on South 27th street and West Mangold Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. March 17.

A 30-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 4300 block of South 27th Street at 2 a.m. March 17. His BAC was unavailable.

A 23-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on South 84th Street and West Forest Home Avenue at 2:20 a.m. March 18. His BAC was unavailable.

A 32-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, in the 6100 block of South 27th Street at 4:10 a.m. March 18. His BAC was unavailable.

A 32-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on South 27th Street and West Howard Avenue at 5:10 a.m. March 18. His BAC was unavailable.

VANDALISM

A 2000 Chevy Silverado was scratched with a key while it was parked in the 4400 block of West Loomis road prior to 1:30 p.m. March 12.

A car was scratched while it was parked in the 3600 block of South 32nd Street prior to 5:30 p.m. March 13.

Graffiti was found on a trailer parked at Alta View Vet Clinic, 7330 W. Forest Home Ave., between 6:30 p.m. March 16 and 8 a.m. March 17.

A vehicle was scratched with a key in the 5400 block of West Loomis Road between 6 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. March 17.

A 43-year-old man was arrested for vandalism and disorderly conduct after he struck a car with his vehicle in the 7000 block of West Southridge Drive and then fled the scene prior to 12:50 p.m. March 17.

OTHER

A resident in the 5400 block of South 43rd Street reported on March 12 that their personal information was used to file a tax return.

A 27-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were arrested for prescription fraud after they attempted to obtain a controlled substance with a forged prescription at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., shortly before 6 p.m. March 12.

A 43-year-old man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon after he was involved in a physical altercation with two other men in the 4200 block of South 76th Street at 12:20 p.m. March 13.

Employees at Hooters, 7700 W. Layton Ave., reported a male subject exposed his genitals and masturbated in front of the window of the business shortly before 10:30 p.m. March 13. Police have a suspect and an arrest warrant has been issued.

A caller reported a rummage sale sign posted on South 35th Street and West College Avenue also stated "Need Weed" at 9 a.m. March 14.

A 40-year-old woman was arrested for a weapons violation after she pulled out a gun during an altercation with two people at a residence in the 6600 block of West Barnard Avenue shortly before 2 p.m. March 15.

A 43-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he threatened employees at AT&T, 4739 S. 76th St., around 4 p.m. March 15.

An anonymous caller reported five dogs were being kept in a basement littered with feces at a residence in the 6900 block of West Layton Avenue at 1:20 p.m. March 16. The owner of the animals, a 28-year-old woman, was cited for having unlicensed animals and for having too many animals at one residence.

A 49-year-old woman was arrested for passing a forged prescription at Walgreens, 4296 S. 76th St., shortly after 3 p.m. March 16.
