BURGLARY

A resident in the 10300 block of West Dreyer Place reported an unknown suspect tried to break into her home shortly before 6:05 p.m. Feb. 16. The suspect fled eastbound on Beloit Road in a gray or blue vehicle prior to police arrival.

THEFT

A 25-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting a card and makeup at Pick 'n Save, 4279 S. 76th St., at 5:45 p.m. Feb. 13.

A 24-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 9:40 p.m. Feb. 13.

A 39-year-old female employee was arrested for stealing about $6,000 worth of deposits at Dollar Tree, 5002 S. 74th St., at 2:05 p.m. Feb. 14.

A 37-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 3:20 p.m. Feb. 14.

The driver of a green Pontiac left without paying for gas at Phil's Gas & Grocery, 6745 W. Forest Home Ave., at 7:20 p.m. Feb. 14.

Garbage cans were reported stolen from a residence in the 3500 block of South 34th Street at 3:20 p.m. Feb. 15.

A boy was cited for theft after he was seen taking winter marking rods out of the ground near the library in the 5300 block of West Layton Avenue at 4:10 p.m. Feb. 15.

A 19-year-old man, an 18-year-old man and a boy were arrested for shoplifting at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 6:35 p.m. Feb. 15.

A 52-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting at Kmart, 4601 S. 27th St., at 12:40 p.m. Feb. 16.

A cellphone was reported stolen from a customer at McDonald's, 5040 S. 76th St., at 2:55 p.m. Feb. 16.

A laptop computer was reported stolen from a residence in the 7100 block of West Armour Avenue at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 17. Police have a suspect and are following up.

A 20-year-old female employee was arrested for theft at Walmart, 4500 S. 108th St., at 4 p.m. Feb. 17.

An air conditioning unit was reported stolen from a residence in the 6000 block of South 34th Street at 3:15 p.m. Feb. 18.

A customer's purse was stolen from a cart at Pet World, 5415 S. 27th St., shortly before 3:20 p.m. Feb. 18.

A cellphone was reported stolen from AT&T, 5075 S. 76th St., at 3 p.m. Feb. 19.

ASSAULT

A 21-year-old West Allis man was cited for battery after he had a physical altercation with another man at TJ Maxx, 4200 S. 76th St., at 9 p.m. Feb. 15.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 28-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 4200 block of South 76th Street at 7:45 p.m. Feb. 13.

A 28-year-old man was arrested for drug possession after he was seen smoking marijuana near the Factory Card Outlet, 5058 S. 74th St., at 4 p.m. Feb. 14.

An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were arrested for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in the 7500 block of West Barnard Avenue at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested for possession of synthetic marijuana during a traffic stop on 43rd Street and Loomis Road at 2:27 p.m. Feb. 17.

A 27-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 4400 block of South 76th Street at 5:50 p.m. Feb. 19. A 24-year-old male passenger in the car was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 31-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, in the 10400 block of West Plainfield Avenue at 2:15 a.m. Feb. 15. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable at the time of the report.

A 53-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, in the 4400 block of South 50th Street at 1:15 a.m. Feb. 16. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable at the time of the report.

A 28-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for operating without a license on Layton Avenue and Loomis Road at 2:50 a.m. Feb. 18. His blood alcohol content was unavailable.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, on 37th Street and Howard Avenue at 6:20 p.m. Feb. 18. Sobriety testing was refused and she was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

A 27-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after he was seen driving the wrong way on Forest Home Avenue and Cold Spring Road shortly after 2 a.m. Feb. 19. His BAC was unavailable at the time of the report.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving on 27th Street and College Avenue at 2:40 a.m. Feb. 19. Her BAC was unavailable at the time of the report.

VANDALISM

A 37-year-old man was cited for hit and run/property damage after he knocked over a street sign in the 10700 block of West Beloit Road at 7:15 p.m. Feb. 16.

A window was cracked at Ultimate Truck Sales, 3515 S. 108th St., prior to 8 a.m. Feb. 17. Police recovered a large glass marble that was used to crack the window. A special watch on the business was requested.

A kitchen window was reported broken at a vacant home in the 6300 block of West Leroy Avenue shortly after 12 p.m. Feb. 18. Police were trying to find the owner of the property.

Two mailboxes were damaged in the 4000 block of South 103rd Street prior to 9 a.m. Feb. 19.

OTHER

A pharmacist at Walgreens, 4296 S. 76th St., reported an unknown male tried to pass a forged prescription for oxycodone at 10:48 a.m. Feb. 14.

A 21-year-old woman was cited for disorderly conduct after she threw malts and sodas at a vehicle in the parking lot at Kopps, 7631 S. Layton Ave., shortly before 2:25 p.m. Feb. 16.

A 22-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after fighting with a bartender at Club Paragon, 3578 S. 108th St., at 1:40 a.m. Feb. 18.

FIRE

Firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle on fire in the 4100 block of West College Avenue at 5:52 p.m. Feb. 16. The fire was allegedly caused by the car battery.

Greenfield police responded to three domestic violence calls and assisted with five rescue calls and three fire calls between Feb. 13 and Feb. 19.
