Jessica Wreczycki of West Allis has been accepted into the pharmacy doctoral program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned a bachelor's degree in biology and zoology from UW-Madison in December, where she was on the fall semester dean's list.
Stephaine Crosley of Greenfield and Katie Zimmerman of West Allis earned their degrees, a master's in education and a bachelor's in interior architecture, from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in December.
Cori Steger of Greenfield and Thomas Giljohann of West Allis earned degrees, an associate degree and a bachelor's degree in special education, from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in December.
Stephanie Ziebarth of Greenfield, a student at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, earned a 2013 Presidential Scholar Award from the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation. She will receive a $3,000 scholarship.

Melissa Gall of West Allis, a third year biology major at Carroll University in Waukesha, performed as a Tragedian in "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead" in April. Her previous roles at Carroll include reading in "The Vagina Monologues" and performing in the ensemble for "High School Musical."
Alexis Heindl of Greenfield and Taylor Lux of West Allis made the fall semester dean's list at Northern Michigan University in Marquette.
Rachel Boushon of Greenfield, a Whitnall High School student, will participate in the 2013 U.S. Naval Academy Summer Seminar program. Summer Seminar teaches prospective applicants about life at the Naval Academy. She will attend eight 90-minute workshops, participate in seamanship and navigation classes, and take a cruise aboard a Navy Yard patrol craft to apply what they learned from active-duty Navy and Marine Corps officers.
Austin Rosa of West Allis, a Nathan Hale High School student, has been named Herb Kohl Educational Foundation 2013 Initiative Scholar, earning a $1,000 Initiative Scholarship. Christine Gosch of Waukesha, a teacher at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in West Allis, and Laura Cerletty of Hales Corners, a teacher at Whitnall High School in Greenfield, were named Teacher Fellows, earning $1,000 fellowship awards.
David Mlachnik of West Allis Central High School has won a National Athleadership Grant sponsored by NCSA Athletic Recruiting and the National Football League Players Association. The award is given to a select number of student athletes throughout the country in all sports from football to track. The grant is awarded based on leadership in the community, academic achievement, athletics and an essay.
Matthew R. Chojnacki has received an Army ROTC scholarship at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Scholarships are awarded on a merit system, and recipients are enrolled as members of the ROTC Corps of Cadets. Upon graduation from the host college and completion of the ROTC program, the student cadet receives a bachelor's degree and a commission of second lieutenant in the Army. All scholarship students incur a military service obligation of eight years, which may be fulfilled by either serving on active duty or in the Reserve Components of the Army. Chojnacki is the foster son of Jennifer Chojnacki of West Allis. He graduated in 2010 from Greendale High School.
Army Pvt. Kyle Biedrzycki graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga. Biedrzycki, the son of Kim Biedrzycki and the grandson of Charlotte and John Bystra, all of Greenfield, is a 2012 graduate of Whitnall High School in Greenfield.
