Freedom. Endowed by our Creator. Defined by our Constitution. And defended each and every day by the men and women who wear the uniform of these United States of America.
State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) authored a budget motion as a member of the Joint Finance Committee (JFC) to adjust the date the Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) must provide municipalities with information about the school levy tax credit, lottery and gaming credit, and first dollar credit. The budget motion requires DOR to provide municipalities with information November 20 rather than December 1.
New Fiscal Estimates reveal $575 Million
The Legislature’s prudent decisions continue to be beneficial. The Legislative Fiscal Bureau (LFB) released fiscal estimates of general fund tax revenues increasing $575 million higher over the next three years than estimates in prior projections.
As a legislature we must be good stewards of taxpayer’s hard earned money. The projections arrive just as the Joint Finance Committee is deliberating the next state budget. As a member of the Joint Finance Committee my priority with new found revenue is tax relief.
