Food Memories

Hmm, I bet you all can remember your favorite foods from the past.  Ah, I remember my first taco.  Thanks Mrs. Gapinski!  She had sons that were my high school age, and I happened to drop by during supper (free meals are great).  The hamburger meat, the lettuce, the cheese, and those crunchy taco shells.   Explosions of red sauce on my shirt.  Belching was appreciated, but I couldn’t match the decibels of Mrs. Gapinski.

When I was even younger, I went to my first Chinese restaurant in Minneapolis.  I must have been about 6 or 7.  I don’t exactly know what I ate, but I remember the poor family sitting right behind us.  Here is this kid (me) constantly shooting up from my bench seat, and then peering at them over the wood partition.  I found something exotic about staring at others people’s food with hunger in my eyes.  I still have that survivalist trait today!  Be sure to invite me to eat when I do that, but you are paying of course.

Shar-Pei Photography

What’s with those four trillion dot pixel cameras?  I always complain when people take my picture.  And what does a Shar-Pei dog have to do with pictures of me?  Well, a Shar-Pei dog has thousands of wrinkles due to the folds of its skin.  So I am not interested in out wrinkling a dog!  Then there are the freckles, age spots, and skin bumps that pop out of me!  I now relate to those famous Hollywood stars that have their pictures air brushed.
