I live in Greenfield with my husband and cat. I work full time. Frugality and simplicity have been a part of my life long before they became popular and it has made life a lot less stressful. I love volunteering, home improvement/decorating, crafting and gardening.
Over this past week, I've watched television newscasts and read articles about the ten-year anniversary of 9/11 that is coming up. I'm overcome with emotion. We ALL have been affected in some way by what happened on that day. Our lives have changed. We are not and never will be completely safe ever again. There will be more wars, more fighting and more terrorist attacks. There will be heroes, as always, who do their best to keep us safe and there will be times when they will fail.
On the day of the attacks, two of my friends from our old neighborhood in West Allis called and told me to get out of the building I was working in - I work in a 19-story office building. I felt safe and none of us left work at first; we were glued to the various television sets that were set up in conference rooms. No one got any work done that day.
