The State Senate and State Assembly are scheduled to be on the floor during January. Legislative committees in both houses of the legislature are meeting for Public Hearings and preparing bills for the Senate and Assembly floor. At this link you may view the schedule of committee meetings.
Please contact me with your thoughts about bills. The schedule changes frequently. If you plan to attend a hearing, please confirm the meeting is taking place on the day of the hearing before you drive to Madison. You may call my office to confirm.
January 25, 2012, at 7:00 PM, Governor Walker is scheduled to deliver his State of the State Address to the Legislature at the State Capitol Assembly Chambers. The address is scheduled to be televised live on Wisconsineye.com and Wisconsin Public Television stations.
January and February are months that many associations schedule a day at the Capitol. Many constituents visit the office of their Senator and Assembly Representative. If you plan to be in Madison, please call my office to schedule an appointment. You are always welcome to stop in without an appointment.
In addition to a very active floor period, recall petitions may be filed January 17.
Thank you for your past communications, and I wish you a Very, Happy, Healthy, New Year.
