State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. The legislative Joint Finance Committee met today to begin voting on the state budget. The Finance Committee will debate and vote on budget issues during the next month. Today, the Joint Finance Committee considered the following:

  • Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board.
  • Children and Families – Child Support.
  • Health Services – Care Facilities.
  • Administration – Division of Gaming.
  • Office of State Employment Relations.
  • Revenue – Lottery Administration.
  • Public Defender.
  • Judicial Council.
  • Judicial Commission.
  • Board of Commissioners of Public Lands.
  • The Department of Natural Resources.
  • Fox River Navigational System Authority.
  • Lower Wisconsin State Riverway Board.
