This and That

I live in Greenfield with my husband and cat. I work full time. Frugality and simplicity have been a part of my life long before they became popular and it has made life a lot less stressful. I love volunteering, home improvement/decorating, crafting and gardening.

Greenfield School District AGAIN Wants To Increase Property Tax Levy!!!

Proposed School District Tax Levy Increase...............

The Greenfield School District will present its increase in the property tax levy to electors at the September Annual Meeting on Monday, September 13th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Greenfield High School Performing Arts Center located at 4800 S 60th Street.

If you can, please attend.  Can we continuously afford tax increases?  Do we get 4.4 percent to 6 percent salary increases at our jobs, if we even have jobs?  Of course not!  That's what the school district proposed last year and they are going for it again, most likely.

Personally, I think these Idiots have a lot of guts continously proposing these hefty tax increases - why don't they set a reasonable budget based upon the economy and stick to it.  Learn to make do with what they currently have and or learn to make modifications.   Greenfield is one of the suburbs with the highest unemployment.  What don't they "understand" about this?  It's not rocket science...one doesn't need the "almightly" college education to figure this one out.

Most other communities are holding the line - what's the problem with Greenfield?
