Greenfield's Shannon Butts has been named the All-Suburban Softball Player of the Year for the 2009 season. Her coach, Jack Miller, is the coach of the year and sister Stacey and teammate Sarah Fisher also made the team.
The annual St. John the Evangelist church festival will be allowed to serve alcohol until closing time after the Greenfield Common Council reversed a previous decision to end beer sales an hour early.
